Grand Margherita Hotel

Do not recommended to stay this hotel. Even if you plan to stay one night with limited budget. This is the worst hotel that I ever stayed, the shower curtain was terrible n disgusting, so so dirty. We requested to change the shower curtain Becos we really unable to shower with such super dirty on the curtain surface. House keeping did change the shower curtain but we suspect they just took from other room and swap with our room. The “new” shower curtain still terrible and disgusting. So although location is excellent but Do Not stay in this Grand margarita hotel whenever you come Kuching

As always my business trip preferal hotel which is convenient walk to waterfront and easy to find restaurant nearby for good food.

Trusted brand hotel in Kuching. Dated but well maintained. Worth for business trip. Facilities is good and breakfast is one of my favourite

Nice, well maintained hotel and its location next to kuching riverfront.

Despite being a 50-year old hotel, it's surprisingly well maintained. Toilets are clean and well designed with top quality materials. Rooms are well arranged, good quality mattress and pillows, huge smart TV, and overlooking the river. The hotel is very near the main attraction of Kuching : Kuching Waterfront, a 5mins walking distance. Tons of old style shops and cafes across the road, good FnB selection. Staff are pleasant and professional.

In the heart of Kuching. In the Kuching Icon roundabout. Beside the famous river. Price reasonable.

We had a wonderful stay at Grand Margherita Hotel Kuching. The location is absolutely perfect — right by the Sarawak River and within walking distance to the waterfront, shops, and local attractions. The view from our room was beautiful, especially in the evening. Breakfast had a good variety of choices, and we especially enjoyed our Laksa Sarawak on the last day — it was flavourful, authentic, and the perfect way to end our trip to Kuching! It truly gave us a taste of local Sarawakian cuisine. Overall, we had a pleasant and memorable experience. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Kuching. Highly recommended!

Stayed at the old wing (block where the main lobby is). Everything needs an upgrade. From the carpet to the doors of the cabinet and working desk, the power plugs on the wall, the phone, the bathroom with mould in the corners etc. it’s also always cold in the old wing. Slept without turning on the air con every night. Breakfast was buffet style and had a good variety. But for me; the only thing that was good was the coffee machine. Maybe also because I’ve been to this city many times and I know there are a lot of good food just a few mins walk away. Staff was great though. Housekeeping cleaned the bathtub rubber mat for me, brought water when asked and cafe staff were friendly and nice. Many other hotel options in the city; I wouldn’t recommend this one.
