Super Hotel Kumamoto Ekimae Natural Hot Springs

This hotel is perfectly located directly opposite Kumamoto Station, just a short walk across the road. The check-in instructions were very detailed, including information in Chinese on how to use the password lock, the onsen (hot spring), and details about drinks and breakfast. I really appreciated the wide selection of pillows and the variety of skincare products offered, including body lotion! It was a lifesaver as I hadn't packed any hand cream or body lotion. The breakfast, featuring both Japanese and Western options, wasn't vast but was thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious. The room size was typical for a Japanese hotel, and the soundproofing was excellent; I usually struggle to sleep well, but I had a fantastic night's rest here! The onsen was also a great bonus—perfect for soaking after a day of sightseeing. They even offer evening drinks and a 'goodnight tea'! The hotel management clearly put a lot of thought into traveler needs. I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip to Kumamoto! A perfect 10/10 travel experience.

The hotel's location is pretty good, with the bus stop from the airport right outside. However, the room was extremely small – so tiny that I had to open my suitcase on the bed. They do have a Happy Hour from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. If you're not too picky about room size, it's an option to consider.

The location is fantastic! It's right outside the JR station, and the long-distance bus terminal is directly in front of the hotel. The breakfast is rich and varied, and everyone was so welcoming. The hotel also has hot springs, which are great for a good night's sleep.

Fantastic hotel! It's super convenient, located right across from the Shirokawa Exit of JR Kumamoto Station. My non-smoking women's room was a good size, and there's a natural hot spring on the second floor. Every day from 5 PM to 9 PM, they offer a free all-you-can-drink service with various excellent options on the first floor. Breakfast is amazing, with horse meat curry, miso soup, freshly baked bread, salad, and grilled fish – all delicious. The front desk service is outstanding. Plus, Higomaru Market and AMU Plaza at JR Kumamoto Station are great for food and shopping. Highly recommend this hotel!

First off, the location is excellent, very close to Kumamoto Station, making travel incredibly convenient, especially for those planning to continue their journey by Shinkansen or other train lines. The standout highlight is the free natural hot spring (onsen) within the hotel, which is perfect for unwinding after a long day of sightseeing. The hotel's atmosphere is clean and well-organized, as expected from a Super Hotel. Regarding service: The staff at the front desk were very welcoming and cheerful. They even offer a 'Pillow Menu' where you can choose a pillow that suits your preferred height, showing great attention to detail. In summary, it's a hotel with excellent value for money, considering the price, location, and amenities. I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Kumamoto; it's easy to get around and truly comfortable for resting.
