Kumamoto Hotel Castle

I was very satisfied with the location and the service. The breakfast was also delicious and I had a very happy time. I was able to sit on the sofa and enjoy the view of the castle tower at night.

I specially chose this hotel's Kumamoto Castle view room to see the scenery from a different perspective. I didn't expect that the room I was assigned on the spot was on the 3rd floor, and the Kumamoto Castle I looked out was really small... (slightly different from the official announcement picture) The hotel officially started to check in at 3 o'clock. After our car arrived at the hotel an hour in advance, we were told that if we wanted to check in in advance, we would need to pay an additional 1k yen (we have been communicating with Ctrip customer service and solved this issue later, and the additional fee was waived), but when we actually checked out, the girl at the front desk repeatedly emphasized that the additional fee issue was really unreasonable. In the end, we had to find the person in charge to solve it. The room comes with 2 bottles of mineral water per night. When it was not enough and the hotel needed to send more, we were told that one bottle would cost +150 yen. After checking in on the first day, I put down my luggage and went out to visit the attractions. When I came back at night, I found that the humidification function of the air purifier was broken & the wifi signal in the room was so poor that I couldn't even check my circle of friends. After complaining, two staff members came to help change the machine & installed a wifi signal booster. I also brought two more bottles of water and the hotel's special coin (which can be used to buy beer at the beverage machine) to apologize.
