My top choice for accommodation in Kumamoto! The Daiwa Roynet Hotel PREMIER Kumamoto Ginza Dori has an unbeatable location. It's just a 2-minute walk from Hanabatacho tram station, and a direct 17-minute tram ride from Kumamoto Station. It's super close to Kumamoto Castle, the Ginza Dori shopping area, and the Sakuramachi bus terminal, all within walking distance, making sightseeing and shopping incredibly convenient.
The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with a separate wet/dry bathroom, a massage chair, a humidifier/air purifier, and USB charging ports by the bed – they've really thought of every detail. The soundproofing was excellent, so I slept incredibly well. Breakfast is served on the second floor at Suganoya, featuring fantastic local specialties like Kumamoto horse meat curry, spicy mentaiko (cod roe), and karashi renkon (mustard-filled lotus root), all at a great value for money.

Second time at this hotel - lively and with shopping just downstairs and plenty of food. It’s in a red-light district but feels safe still. Comfy beds are nice too.

Next to lots of good food and drinks places. Enjoyed our stay here. Firm bed, good pillow. Very friendly counter staff who helped us to send our luggages to the next city.
