An Ethereal & Tranquil setting in nature. Our experience here was soothing and peaceful. Every care was taken to reimagine a tribal village in the heart of Thekkady. All activities at the facility centered around sustainability. Live Veena music throughout the day was a nice touch. The evening’s pre-dinner live dance performances and live Veena & Mridangam performance during dinner gave it a soothing touch. A rafter of Wild turkeys running around was cool to see. Hotel: excellent Room: Spacious with a sitting area Food: not bad Would definitely stay again!!

Tranquil oasis with attentive caring staff in a charming atmosphere. Our favourite hotel to date in India. We only had one night here on a 15 day tour of Southern India - all members of our group wanted to stay longer and it was a highlight of the trip. Cottages are simple and eco in style with simple furnishings - but immaculately clean. Team members are very well trained and eager to please. They seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs and interacting with guests. The Woodhouse lounge and bar was real find - wonderful safari , heritage vibes with world class cocktails. The buffet dinner and breakfast were exceptional - team members keen to highlight special dishes and encourage you to try things. Highly recommended - I'd return in an instant and stay a week.

Sehr schoene Anlage welche mitten in Kumily liegt. Die Anlage befindet sich in der Natur und strahlt sehr viel ruhe aus. Vor den Zimmer auf der Terasse kann *** es geniessen. Im Hauptrestaurant kann *** sehr gut essen und der Chefkoch kommt selbst nachfragen.

Real back to nature feel is what you get here
Great ambience at the property with full, on point back to nature feel. Staff was very courteous and helpful. The spread and quality of food served, especially the home made pickles and spreads, was awesome. Thoroughly enjoyed listening to the artist playing the Saraswati Veena. The efforts made to reduce carbon footprint were very obvious and greatly commendable.

Nice village comfort rooms.
Very nice village, with nice bungalow style rooms, and helpful and attentive staff.
But the food is horrible. There was a dinner buffet with dozen types of food but not single one of them was tasty.
We came after we visited CGH kochi that was amazing and had a lot of expectations so we were a bit disappointed.

A great place to stay - even though there was no television! The Villa we stayed in was set in a beautiful garden setting. We especially loved watching the monkeys - very entertaining. The restaurant was great, the staff friendly and attentive and the food delicious.

Very nice hotel in Thekkady that is surrounded by an exotic flora and fauna. There is a resdential monkey family and a lot of more to experience. Here you will be real close to nature. As all the CGH hotels also Spice Village follows an impressive sustainability concept. Dont miss the hotel tour to see more about that concept as their organic garden, their water filling station and much more. Spice Village offers a great variety of activities and tours within the property but also outside in the forest. Our bungalow was really comfortable and the food was great - beside the main restaurant they also have an amazing healthy eating place. Loved the afternoon tea in the garden as well. There is a small pool in the garden and the yoga and spa offers are all great. If you like to know more about the hotel and whatelse you can do in the area around visit traveltreasuresbymarion Spice Village is a great place to stay in Thekkady.

We visited this hotel as part of a tour of Kerala. We only stayed two days but really wish it had been longer. Everything about the hotel was wonderful - beautiful accommodation, great food, great service, all in a beautiful setting. A truly peaceful retreat which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Location and stay was good but it seems that this property is meant only for foreigners and not for indians specially north. No north indian food was available in breakfast even after paying huge charges and we could eat only bread & butter. Limited options in dinner for veg and north indian. Delayed service in dinner caused us to finish food uncomfortable manner. Property cost is too high. At lower cost by good property are available
