Mile 36 Lodge

There is no fan or air conditioner. It is a bit hot during the afternoon, but the weather is comfortable at night. The house is clean, and the overall cleanliness is satisfactory. However, the toilet window is too large and is only covered by a mesh screen. At night, people outside can still see shadows through the light inside. Also, the window can be opened from the outside, which makes it feel unsafe. The view of Mount Kinabalu from the entrance is very nice. (There are a lot of insects at night. It is recommended to prepare some insect repellent.)

We stayed 1 night here after our Mount Kinabalu hike. It was very near to the park and there was a laundromat nearby for us to wash all our clothes. This family is spacious and we had good night sleep. The only downside was the water heater. It went cold half way. The people are nice.

Good value for what you are paying. Rooms are clean although dated. Location is off the main road which is a plus. My only complaint is that the room we stayed at has very thin walls and soundproofing is non-existent. Unfortunately there was a big family staying above us and we could literally hear everything and babies crying.

A good view of mount Kinabalu! The location of my room was a bit hidden. Was bit disappointed that the laundry and machine was extra fees. And kitchen too. Probably my fault for not checking 😭.  Overall good stay. Warm owner and delicious breakfast! I love the tea  :))

Warm and friendly greetings from front desk staffs. Easy and smooth check in and check out process. Clean and tidy room. Peaceful surrounding. Good wifi connection. Good value with breakfast. Will come again.

Overall moderate, cleanliness need to be improved, also the water heater not functioning sometimes

2 hour drive from airport. Very close drive to the Kinabalu national park or about a 20 minute walk. Room is simple, rustic but clean. Beautiful surrounding and view from the room. Bed was comfortable. Perfect if you just want a good place to rest after spending the day in nature. There’s a cafe/lunch spot about 15 minutes away by foot.

Good to stay but a bit far from Kinabalu park

It is very cozy and cute with rustic vibes. Water was not an issue. Breakfast was limited but understandable. Room was not sound proof but had no trouble sleeping during the day or night. Overall a nice place but people who love internet should be ready cause it wasnt stable. Very good to detox.
