Holiday Inn Express KUNMING RAILWAY STATION by IHG

A complete experience with plenty of facilities nearby. There's a convenience store and supermarket close by. The hotel has a great location, and most importantly, it's very close to Kunming Railway Station. If you need to catch the high-speed train, this hotel is an ideal choice.

The hotel is within walking distance of the train station, which is super convenient for getting around. Plus, there's a specialty rice noodle shop downstairs – a great choice!

I booked the lowest-priced room, which was on a lower floor and didn't have a view of the train station. The more expensive rooms are on higher floors with better views. You get what you pay for. The hotel is very close to Kunming Station, less than a 10-minute walk, which is perfect for catching an early high-speed train. However!!! Please note, the Kunming Station subway exit only leads to the south exit of Kunming Station, while the hotel is located near the north exit. So, if you're taking the subway to the hotel, I strongly advise against getting off at Kunming Station. You'll have to walk an extremely long way. Instead, you can get off at Fude Station and then take a bus to the hotel. Alternatively, get off at Huancheng Nan Lu Station and walk about ten minutes to the hotel. It seems there's a lack of coordination between Kunming Train Station and the subway station, as the subway exit only connects to the south exit, which is very inconvenient.

Great location, close to Kunming Railway Station! It's about a 5-minute walk from the North exit to the hotel, very convenient and quick. The front desk staff were warm and helpful. I suggest the hotel could offer a luggage transfer service.

The room was spacious and clean, and they even provided complimentary steam eye masks, which was a thoughtful touch.

This hotel is newly opened and not yet bookable on the InterContinental website. The hotel staff mentioned they are awaiting IHG's final assessment before being officially listed. It's conveniently located right next to Kunming Railway Station, making transportation very accessible.

First, I want to give the hotel some feedback, and I'll put it in the review section for others to参考. The hotel is very close to Kunming Station, a 400-meter walk, which is convenient for getting around. However, there's no information about which exit to use. First-time visitors could easily take the wrong exit and end up walking 1.3 kilometers! The hotel should specify that it's a 400-meter walk from the **North Exit** of Kunming Station, and to **avoid the South Exit**! The service is good; they respond to any customer needs. The facilities and cleanliness are excellent, as it's a new hotel, everything is new. In the daytime, after the sun shines in, there's a slight lingering smell of new装修. Breakfast is decent. As for the environment, a common drawback of Holiday Inn Express hotels is that there are many rooms on each floor, and the hallways can be quite winding.
