Clean hotel with amazing with of the Pacific Ocean from inside the room. The staffs are very helpful and offered to carry my luggage up the stairs. However due to language barrier, did not tell me that I can see the ocean and sunrise from my room. I missed the beautiful view as the curtains are close and did not discover the view until I was about to checkout. It is a regret as I believe the sunrise would be stunning. Would highly recommend booking at the restaurant in advance, as there is no much to eat and shop nearby. The restaurant is small scaled, so might not be able to cater last minute orders. Overall a very nice stay, given the budget. Suitable for those who are on driving.

Located on the high ground of the Shimanto River Estuary, a little far from the center of Shimanto City, it is an inn surrounded by nature, adjacent to a large park. Because of that, the night is very dark. At night, I went to Nakamura town to eat and came back by car, but I was surprised by the darkness around the inn. There are front desks, shops, restaurants, baths, etc. in the main building, and the rooms are different buildings. There is a small building in the lounge and bar on the way from the main building, and there is a two-story cottage that surrounds the courtyard. There is a small table and chair in the courtyard, a pleasant place. Some people sat and opened their personal computers. The room seems to have an open-air bath or a room with a loft, but we used a Japanese room. Not very large, but calm in a tatami room. Outside the veranda is also surrounded by trees 々 and quiet. There is a unit bus in the room, but there is a large bath in the main building. There were hot springs, seawater open-air baths and medicine baths, which we enjoyed. Especially, the medicine bath seemed to be very good and it was good. The cheek to take the bath was nice. I was able to spend very relaxing.

Because of the new facility, the corner of the building is beautiful 々. It is conveniently located where you can go, so you can enjoy various things on the premises as well as sweets. Local rice such as bonito and cherry blossoms at ”Ichimonya”. You can buy local souvenirs at the next ”Bussankan Sun River Shimanto”. Moreover, if you show the room key, you will be discounted. Anyway, I was surprised at the low price. 3500 yen for a night stay. If you are in the city, it is the price of capsules and dormitories. This allows you to stretch your legs in a large bath and relax in a large room for one night, so it may be a little old, but there is no complaint. We stayed ２ nights on our trip to Kochi in October 2020. The hotel was undergoing a large-scale repair work on the outer wall and there was a scaffolding around. Parking is free, but the first parking lot just beside the hotel can only park about 10 cars, so you will park in a parking lot a little far away when you are full. Arrived around 14 o'clock, but I was able to check in. The front desk staff is not stationed during the day, so the room key is good. When you need it, you can call the staff at the front desk bell, and there is nothing wrong with it. Breakfast is provided free of charge from 7:30 in the lobby, but this time the staff at the dining room also served as the front desk business. We are trying to reduce costs by thoroughly saving labor. The content of the breakfast was mainly Japanese food, and Western food was about bread, salad and drink, but it is glad to eat this for free. １ There is a ”Yakuyu bath” behind the front desk on the floor, but there are only １, so it is a men and women change system on the day of the week and time. The washroom was about ４ and the bathtub was about tatami mats, but the smell of medicinal herbs was healed. We stayed on weekdays, but the morning bath is only for men, and it is switched from women to men at 20 o'clock at night, so women are quite difficult to use. On weekends, men and women seemed to be changing their time. Not a new hotel, so you feel less 々 old in the room and hotel facilities. Compact twin room, storage space is insufficient. I felt very happy!!! The world view like my summer vacation spreads throughout the city and the inn. There was a very tasteful station in front of the inn, and there was a parking lot on the slope on the right side. It seems to be good for the place where it is written in general. You can buy food and drinks at a local shop nearby! There was a tavern and Takoyaki shop within 5 minutes walk, and I had dinner with a lot of people who taught the shopkeeper. All the dishes were delicious and I was greeted with a very gentle welcome. The futon of the inn was also fuzzy, and I think there are many cartoons and I don't have time. The bathroom toilet, the refrigerator and the kitchen are shared, so you can cook! There are seasonings. It felt like I was staying at the children's hall, and it became a good memory.

Although dinner and lunch can't be said to be  rich , I feel that the staff of the travel  prepare  carefully, and the ingredients are fresh. At the same time, I also feel their warm and attentive service  and  even in simple English when dining. If you drive, it is recommended to arrive before sunset, because the section of the road that drives at night is  that you can't reach your five fingers without lights or reflective cards. There is a waterfall and  mountain route  near the hotel. The cherry blossom season is more cherry blossoms outside the hotel.

Nice hotel, the room is large, the dinner is very rich, and the shuttle service of Shifang Qingshui City is also provided. The underwater pavilion, the aquarium, and the tour trail are nearby, very convenient and the scenery is beautiful.

This was one of the best places we have ever stayed at! The nickname for this establishment is Mana Village Pacific Hotel. ”Mana” has three meanings, of course it means heavenly food (yes, it was!) and in the Hawaiian language ”magical” (yes the view from the accomdations, and the rooms themselves were just that!) but it is also the local (Kochi prefecture) word for ”a lot” or ”awesome”. That pretty much describes this hotel. If you don't mind a short walk down a covered walkway, you can get to one of the most beautiful outdoor baths in Japan, overlooking the Pacific ocean. And in the restaurant you can get surf (first time I ever had lobster in Japan!) turf, and most importantly a variety of exotic fish served up local style. Most important is the location, which is on the extreme south-west tip of the island of Shikoku, a sort of peninsula jutting into the ocean. I wont spoil the adventure you will have if you come to Ashizuri, which is a kind of geo-park combining ancient history with luxurious fauna in a transitional tropical/temprate zone. If you go there, this is the place to stay!
