老牌的酒店，服務也比較不用心，態度也一般。太在乎旅遊感覺的不要來，但僅僅就是住一晚那就關係不大。還是看性價比。

優點：
1. 酒店與湯畑一步之隔，很方便，離巴士站約500米，但坡度較大，拉行李箱走較困難，
2. 早餐和晚餐都自助，種類較多，味道不錯，＇尤其是有多20種飲料可選，滿意
3. 房間大小合適，床品乾淨舒適，
4. 有自選浴衣
缺點：
1. 這麼有名的草津温泉，泡温泉是重點，但大東館的温泉池底似長了青苔，非常滑，我二次滑倒，非常危險，淋浴牆上長滿了黑色的黴斑，讓人很不舒服，温泉的體驗非常不好，希望對温泉池的衞生重視有所改進
2. 酒店設備的確很老，房間內電源插座很少，和屋很乾凈，地毯很臟

性價比最高有一些地方比較舊但也有不少更新了的設備！大浴場夠大唔會逼夾！館內只有一種源泉但有接駁車送去另一間酒店浸另一種源泉！早晚都係自助餐，晚上既天婦羅舞茸師傅會不斷炸出黎係我最愛！

雖然此飯店己經有點年齡，但地點房價和房間大小的CP值真的超高，房間也整理的蠻乾淨，除了溫泉造景比較普通，早晚餐也不錯。到草津如果不執著新飯店，這家真的棒！

酒店位置非常好，但房內設施比較久，早餐和晚餐整體也不錯，而且康樂設施也不錯整體上是可以接受的酒店，房間內的層次比較舊，但床舖比較清潔
