Kusatsu-Onsen Hotel Resort Reviews

Given that the hotel is abit old, the 3 star cleanliness is referring to the old facility at guy side onsen. It’s not maintain well and everything looks old. It’s 10mins walking distance to bus terminal and another 5-6mins to yubatake. Bonus point gives to free shuffle from/to daitokon with the very precise bus schedules. Room is clean but bear in mind, it’s not non-smoking hotel so might have chance to smell cigarette smell in room. Fortunately, our room is good. Overall we satisfy with our stay at kusatsu onsen resort.

Stayed in Western Room which is around 65 sqm. Good value for monies with much to do inside hotel and surrounding area. Free shuttle service to Yubatake. Plenty of shopping and eateries in that area. Enjoyed meals in the hotel too.

Unsure if we were here in a low-season, but I feel like this place was very popular in the past and still has a lot of potential. Loved staying here. Only downside is that it's on top of a hill, which can be quite a walk if you're unfit haha.

The room is very big. The hot pot for dinner is very good with a menu. It is mainly pork and has a full variety. There is also hot pot noodles and vegetables for breakfast, which are very good with a menu. There is a pick-up bus to the bus station and Daitokan near Yubatake. There are indoor and outdoor hot spring baths for men and women.

There are shuttle buses running around, but it's difficult to get the timing right. There is no exact shuttle time.. I called to pick up the shuttle at the terminal, but there was no shuttle, so I had to walk to Yubatake... How can I get there with a suitcase that attracts so much attention? Just take a taxi! It's a long way from the main street, and it seems to be a hotel frequented by skiers rather than tourists. The facilities are very old, and the room smells like cigarette smoke. It has an old, musty smell. There's a reason why the price is cheaper than other places. If you want to experience an old tatami lodging, I recommend it, but it is not recommended. There are no convenience stores or anything nearby...

The mattress is very warm. Inside the hotel, there is a comfortable onsen, breakfast is provided, and there is a shuttle into the city center. There are yukata clothes for you to wear while walking around. It's worth it.

There is a shuttle bus to Yubata, and there is also a hot spring in the hotel. The opening hours are also very long, until very late in the morning. It seems that I have forgotten the details of the all-night stay. The staff is friendly, but you have to check in at 3 o'clock. If you arrive early, you can store your luggage.

The front desk staff were very friendly and easy to understand. The rooms were clean. The food was great, with local specialities. There were plenty of amenities in the bath, so I was able to use a variety of them.

My first time at Kusatsu Onsen ♨️ The hot spring was really good ♨️🧖 It was a shame that we couldn't adjust the temperature in the room... The room was so hot that even with the window open it was still hot... I wish they would do something about it... Everything else was good

It is a rather impressive hotel. Even though it is located far away But the hotel has a shuttle. The room selected is a Japanese style room. The inside is very ok, excellent, but the walkway area is quite smelly of cigarettes. The onsen is beautiful and has all the facilities. There is also a room to read comic books.

It's far from the bus station but there is a shuttle bus. The equipment is slightly older but the price is affordable.
