This is a good choice for budget travelers for a one or two night stay. Hotel is in a central location (set back from the road so look out for the signs on the main street) , 2 km from Kutaisi train station and 10 minutes to city centre . The rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. Wifi is good, beds are comfortable, room is well heated. There is a balcony which we didn’t use but would be nice in the summer months . Breakfast was plentiful and hearty. There were two negatives for us. The balcony door didn’t lock and there were no English speaking staff on premises. I was checked in over the phone by the manager and her number is posted on the door. The next morning we were able to ask the lady who cooked our breakfast if we could store our bags for a few hours, we managed ok with translator. However if you needed help to call a taxi or for anything else this was not available, which might be an issue for some travelers . I also wasn’t sure how secure our bags were for the time we were gone, perhaps a locked cupboard or storage area would be better. Having said all that however I would stay at the hotel again because it was excellent value for money

1) The hotel is absolutely screaming at night and early in the morning. Apparently, it's the host family themselves, who couldn't care less about your stay. Any comments or requests to be quieter are pointless. I was severely food poisoned, felt unwell all night, and couldn't even get any sleep! The treatment of guests is appalling!
2) For a 4-night stay, you'll only be given a third of a roll of toilet paper and a small bar of soap. There will be no cleaning, of course.
3) There are stains on the curtains and bedspreads, the bed linen is in spools, and the towels aren't the freshest.
4) It's impossible to reach anyone at reception, and it takes hours to respond to your WhatsApp messages. 5) The shower has no door, so water will flood everything, and you'll be lucky if you don't slip and break your head.
6) Reception will offer you a taxi to the airport for 40, when even Yandex says it's 20.
7) The hotel door never closes, even at 8 degrees. The radiators don't work, and the air conditioning won't heat it up.
8) The price isn't high, but by Georgian standards, it's not cheap. You can get a 4-star hotel in central Tbilisi for that price.

We stayed at the Balcony Hotel for 4 nights. Overall, we were very pleased with everything: we were looking for an affordable option with a good location and the necessary amenities, and we found all of that at this hotel.
Pros:
1) A magnificent breakfast room with panoramic views on the 4th floor. However, the room was open all day, so we could easily come in for tea and snacks.
2) A delicious and varied breakfast: salads, porridge/side dishes, sausages, boiled eggs, bread, tea, coffee, and sometimes fruit. It's a buffet, but if there are only a few guests, they serve individual meals.
3) Our room with a double and single bed was spacious and quite comfortable. We had air conditioning, a refrigerator, and a hairdryer. We were also pleased to receive robes and slippers for guests. 4) The hotel staff was always available via WhatsApp; everyone was friendly and helpful.
Cons:
1) The room wasn't cleaned for 4 days, and by the end it wasn't very clean.
2) Ants from the street occasionally entered the room, but we didn't leave any food, so we had no problems.

There was no staff at the counter. There was no one to answer. The room was cold and had many shortcomings. The buffet breakfast was okay.

We booked a four-bed room, but ended up with a three-bed room because the person refused to check out. When we asked for compensation for the cheaper room, there was no compensation. Overall, it's not a serious issue.

The location is quite close to the city center, the breakfast is good but the food is a bit salty. The room is small, but has a balcony. The staff are friendly.
