This concept of Tent holidays in a remote place like the Rann is a novelty and may be experienced once in a lifetime, but not more. I stayed there for two nights and came away disappointed. The tented accommodation in the resort was basic and cramped. Simply not worth the money being charged. It is a victory of marketing. Nothing more than that.

I must say that I went because of all the hype about it. But it was overall a good experience. No more FOMO for me. What I love about Tent City is that the management by Evoke is quite smooth. Being a solo female traveler i absolutely love their management, organization and safety measures. In my 3N 4 D package, on my second day visit to Dholavira , I was the only visitor and Evoke management was quite sweet to send an additional staff with me alongwith the driver of the four wheeler car. Rann of Kutch is definitely worth a visit once. Do not miss Dholavira alongwith Road to Heaven (must must visit) and I suggest though it is expensive, it is mainly because the entire Tent City is set up in a no mans land and the overhead costs of the company are way too much. If your budget approves then do visit Rann of Kutch on a full moon package.

Hi I have been planning the Rann Utsav for last three Years but due to covid the plans were deferred but who could stop a traveller so I started planning in sept 2021 the trip to Rann Utsav with stay at premium tents at Tent City with my family and friends with total 16 pax .So I booked and planned for all and even though over journey took 24 hrs from Assam which was very tiring but all of it evaporated on reaching the tent city. We reached early at around 10am even though check in was late but on request we were allotted the tents @11Am itself by Mr Mittal the manager. Guys it is a complete eco sensitive zone so the whole of tent city is connected by e rickshaw .The tents were beautiful and each category of tents were located in cluster and overs was cluster A.A beautifully maintained ambience in around clusters and over manager Aman was a wonderful host who took care of all our requirements. Breakfast lunch and dinner were service at pre allotted dining halls .In addition to club house and indoor activities one can do helicopter rise ,para gilding and adventure activities. In the evening sunset visit and on return musical nights and DJ. In morning sunrise a must don't miss the white rann . Overall a must visit with family and friends but note no non vegetarian food and liquor is served in the tent city or say in whole of Gujarat. Rare to find a place for non vegetarian and liquor. For liquor please apply for e permit before your land or one will be wasting time to obtain one . .

The tents can be better maintained although special thanks to Mr Pranjal for giving us a much better upgrade. Mr Pranjal has given good guidance on sightseeing and touring in Kutch. Food and sightseeing is well organised in Tent City and 2 nights stay is doable there.

Had heard a lot about this property but was very disappointed. Here's my detailed review: 1. They promise a complimentary pickup from the airport but it's a 14 seater bus which first takes you to the railway station to pick up other passengers and then onto the resort. We opted out and hired a car direct from the airport. 2. On arriving at the resort at around 10:30 am, there was a long waiting queue for people waiting to check in.  The whole process took about 90 minutes. 3. On arriving at our Swiss Deluxe tents, we were shocked to see a large number of mosquitos in the bathroom and the bed linen appeared faded and discoloured. The tents themselves appeared to be at the end of their useful life with torn zippers and faded walls and roof.  We requested a paid upgrade to a Premium tent and this was arranged by about 7:00 pm. 4. Our first dining experience was also disappointing. There was a huge rush of people and a table was difficult to find. Rotis arrived late and only after repeated reminders. Most  food items were tasteless. 5. Housekeeping service were also not upto the mark. Toothpaste was provided in an inconvenient sachet and not replenished. Breakfast tea sachets were similarly not replenished. A refill for the mosquito machine required repeated reminders. 6. The highlight of the trip - the reflection of the full moon on the Raan of Kutch was the biggest let down. Long queues of guests like herds of cattle lined up around 10:00 pm to get into buses. Worse, when we reached the Raan, there was nothing to see - no shimmering reflection of the full moon, nothing at all. The resort doubles it's room rates during full moon nights but they should add a caveat that the Raan experience is not guaranteed so that guests who have booked months in advance are sensitized. 7. Staff is rude and unhelpful. The tour guide on the Kalo Dungar trip (Bus no. 3) threatened at the start of the trip that if people did not pay attention to what he was saying, he would stop talking!! The restaurant manager could not arrange a simple packed breakfast for an early checkout. The person in charge of Cluster A could not arrange a buggy for us at 6:00 am claiming that was the time that drivers would be having their tea!! He also informed us that the protocol was that no bags could be carried on buggies. So you are out of luck if you are a senior citizen and want an early checkout! Overall, it felt like one was staying at a government resort with bureaucratic processes which was being operated for the welfare of its employees rather than the guests. 8. We were relieved to leave the resort at the end of our 2N/3D package and will definitely advise our friends and acquaintances to give the Raan Utsav Tent City a miss.

We (18 of us) went as a family. Work is going on in the Bhuj railway station and there are no proper signages to reach the Rann Utsav office outside the station. The tent city itself is good. The tents are good in size but obviously not soundproof! The bathroom is placed at a higher level and senior citizens should be careful. The dining room, though huge, gets crowded and sometimes difficult to get place. Food is very good. The daily excursions are well managed and food served also good. The road to heaven was the highlight of the trip. On the last day, the guide could have planned it better to give us more time at the Bhuj earthquake museum. There are lost of cultural and kids activities. Even though there is a medical room, lack of pediatric ***** is an issue. So, take the meds your kids need for travel.

The Tent City at Rann of Kutch offers a unique experience. Tents are spacious and clean, food is excellent and the ambience - OTHER WORLDLY. Their ability to run such a large establishment efficiently highlights the dedication of the team, the young trainees from various colleges deserve a special mention. The only problem with The Tent City is it's expensiveness. The tents are costly, too costly. Apart from the cost, it was one of a kind experience.

It is an innovative concept in an unique location. The set up is quite big and tents are well erected and furnished, The ambience is good. The area is well maintained. The food is good. The dining area is little congested and becomes overcrowded sometimes.

Unique experience for sure. one night is enough. You get to experience the tent and food. and thats it. I would not go back again. Food was ok. we were travelling from NJ USA so wanted to experience what the hype all about. Staff was really good.
