Gd location. V close to Amanohashidate viewland. A must visit spot. We stayed in room w terrace on G/F. Modern n nice decor. foldable mat provided for guests to sit on terrace. Just next to river bank. Privacy lacked but enjoyed seeing ships passing along from time to time. Public onsen not big but acceptable given the size of hotel. Free drinks n ice popsicles after onsen. Meals were good but not surprising. In laws stayed in room w outdoor onsen tub. Big w 92 square metres. V comfy. Gd views as room on 3/ F

Very authentic & traditional experience appeared all other guests were Japanese. loved the onsen experience and a fabulous emersión into Japanese culture. Location was great easy bus ride to local town & fishing village of Ine. Fabulous little intimate restaurant 2 min walk. On the down side little hard to find and would be very difficult at night. Staff only spoke Japanese & we’re not very friendly despite our best efforts to speak Japanese and make things a little easier with google translate. Price was very reasonable. Overall would recommend if you’re looking for a traditional family home style experience.

宮津駅より徒歩で10分程かかり、天橋立へ3km程の距離があり、宮津市街地唯一のコンビニエンスストアにも徒歩で10分程度要する場所にあるホテルです。周辺環境の状況から利用しづらい印象を持つと思いますが、だからこそかもしれませんが、平日休日問わず周辺は静かで、大声でおしゃべりするような宿泊客もおらず、非常に快適に滞在できるホテルだと思います。ホテルのスタッフも一様に丁寧な接客で、気さくに声をかけてくれるものの、必要以上に距離を詰めてくるような接し方はしません。 ロビーから客室に至るまで、清潔さが保たれているのは言わずもがな、設備やアメニティも無駄が無くよくまとまっています。客室への入室時のカードキーをかざすセンサーが分かりづらい、客室の電気系統がやや分かりづらい（入口のスイッチは、部屋全体の電気系統のオンとオフを切り替えるもののようです）、バスルームはバスタブが無くシャワーのみ（且つ大浴場が無い）、という注意点がありますが、それ以外は全く申し分はありません。 1階のロビーには待ち合わせスペースの他、共用のキッチンのようなスペースがあり（シンクがあるだけで実際の調理は出来ません）、宿泊客に対し無料でコーヒーを始めとするドリンクのサービスが提供されています（全て無料です）。 殆どの宿泊客が車で利用するからか、充分な広さの駐車場が備わっている上、ホテルの目の前には高速バスのバス停があるため、京都などからの高速バスを利用してのホテルの利用も非常に便利です。 周辺は飲食店がいくつかありますが、上記の通りコンビニエンスストアはこのホテルよりやや遠いところにあります。一方でホテルの北（徒歩2～3分程度）のところにショッピングモールがありますので、食糧調達に殊更不便、ということは無いと思います。周辺環境にやや難はあるものの、ホテル自体は素晴らしく、何度も利用したくなるホテルです。 It takes about 10 minutes on foot from Miyazu Station, about 3 km to Amanohashidate, and about 10 minutes on foot to the only convenience store in Miyazu city center. The surrounding environment of this hotel may give the impression that it is difficult to use the hotel, but perhaps that is why the area is quiet on weekdays and holidays, and there are no guests who chat loudly, making the hotel a very comfortable place to stay. The hotel staff is also uniformly courteous and friendly, but they don't treat you in a way that puts more distance between you and them than is necessary. From the lobby to the guest rooms, it goes without saying that cleanliness is maintained, and the facilities and amenities are well organized without being wasteful. There are a few minor issues: the sensor to hold the card key when entering the room is confusing, the electrical system in the room is a bit confusing (the switch at the entrance seems to turn the entire electrical system on and off), and the bathroom is shower only with no bathtub (and there is no large bath). Other than that, everything else is perfect. In addition to the meeting area, there is a common kitchen-like area in the lobby on the first floor (with a sink, but no actual cooking) where coffee and other beverages are served to guests free of charge (all free of charge). The hotel has a large parking lot, probably because most guests use the hotel by car, and there is an express bus stop right in front of the hotel, making it very convenient to use the hotel by express bus from Kyoto and other cities. There are several restaurants in the area, but as mentioned above, a convenience store is located somewhat farther away from the hotel. On the other hand, there is a shopping mall just north of the hotel (about a 2 to 3 minute walk), so it's not particularly inconvenient to procure food. The Infinity Outdoor Onsen overlooking the Sea of Japan has been featured on Japanese TV several times. Excellent at sunset! (Hence the name: Yuhi no Ura Onsen- Sunset Beach) There is another onsen (alternates male/female) which was decorated with a statue inside and, outside, with Zen elements and a quietness I preferred. But the Hinoki Cedar onsen bath in our room was the best. Private and as long as I liked. We had the third floor Modern Japanese room which is designed to be the Captains' Room with a deck in the appearance of the ship' bow. Very large, comfortable beds, and loved the ceiling-to-floor windows. All drinks in fridge and dinner were free and the sake was excellent. Dinner was served in private sectioned rooms but with a public, almost festival-like atmosphere. Beautiful arrangements, lovely choice of flavors and very creative dishes. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Sadly, no elevators. Will look forward to visiting again!

This time I was worried about snow due to the cold wave, so I gave up my car and went to the Resort Pier Kumihama Hotel to eat crab by train. The hotel will pick you up by bus to Toyooka Station and arrive at the hotel in about 30 minutes. The crab for dinner is also grilled, and the crab pot is full! My wife and I had a relaxing holiday recently and a great experience at the Kawaguchiya Kinosaki Riverside Hotel. We took a train from Shin Osaka Station (2.5 hour) and a slow walk from the station to Kawaguchiya. (If you are following our route, when you reach the river, Turn Right and walk to the end of the road where you will arrive at a T junction, Turn Left. You will see a Idemitsu gas station, the hotel is just right opposite). The weather was cool that day and the town was quite thin in traffic. Check in was quite strict at 3.00pm, so we wandered out for a ramen lunch before returning again to check in. We had a Japanese room which looked out to Higashiyama Park and a view of the autumn leaves. We’d booked a half board package. The kaiseki dinner was elaborate and stunning - visually stimulating and delicious. Breakfast was equally well presented. Before dinner we’d put on the yukata robe and the geta clogs, took a walk to the onsen bath (Satono-yu) next to the train station. The geta is very uncomfortable but quite a fun experience walking round town in the Japanese attire. Staff are friendly and helpful. We’d requested for a adapter. The reception staff initially told us they don’t have any. We tried again and show them images of adapters and they came back with two boxes of adapters for us to choose. Overall we had a fun time and a relaxing holiday at Kawaguchiya.
