The location was right beside Kyoto station and easily accessible. The room was spacious and with a smart TV?! Major win. There’s even a separate laundry room and dryer and sauna their customers can use. They also provided baggage storage when the room is not ready yet. Even after checking out, they allowed us to leave our baggage with them to go get a quick bite before heading to the airport. Great service and vibes. Will definitely book this hotel again for my next trip!

This hotel is located right near the intersection of Shijo Horikawa. I checked in at midnight, but the front desk was kind and I was able to respond without a disgusting face. The room was clean and the amenities were substantial, and there was a USB port for charging, which was very helpful. However, probably because it was a premise to use a large communal bath, there was only a shower booth in the room. It may be a negative for those who want to slowly soak in the bathtub in the room. Personally, I was happy with the large communal bath, so there was no problem at all. It was also good that the transportation was convenient. From the Shijo Horikawa bus stop, you can go not only to Kyoto Station, but also to famous tourist spots such as Kinkakuji, Kiyomizu-dera, Toji, Nijo Castle, Arashiyama, and you can go to Gion and downtown Kawaramachi without changing trains. You will need to change trains once, but you can also go to Nanzenji Temple and Ginkakuji Temple. If you walk a little, you will find Hankyu Omiya Station and Arashiden Shijo Omiya Station, and it is very accessible for sightseeing or business. There is a Family Mart just south of the hotel, and there are 7-Eleven ahead, so you don't have to worry about a little shopping. The accommodation fee was reasonable and it is a recommended hotel.

This was by far the best accommodation we stayed in during our trip to Japan. I was a bit hesitant to book it as other reviews said it’s far away from everything, but it’s not. A short/cheap taxi from the train station (1000-1200 Yen) self-serve check in and self-serve luggage storage (which was a blessing!) We stayed in an apartment, spacious, modern, clean, separate bedroom, washer/dryer, bath and shower and full kitchen. I would live in this apartment if I could! There are staff in the reception area during certain times if you need help. The bus stop is right around the corner. Food options nearby.

I stayed once before the renewal, but at that time it was not a very beautiful room for compliments. I stayed for the first time after the renewal this time, but it was no longer a separate inn. The room was comfortable, the view of the Uji River and the open-air bath with the room were large and comfortable. The staff was also pleasant and I want to go again if I can afford time and money. However, all dinners during the 3 nights were steak kaiseki shops, but until the first 2 nights, the chef was very good, and the meat was soft and I was able to eat very comfortably. There was a preschool child who was originally prohibited from entering the store at the last 3 night dinner (except for rental), and it was not possible to slow at all in the gaga gaga and the ugly gakinko. It seems that it was a family of your good, but I wanted the line drawing around it to be good.

My view was of the hotel and apartment opposite, but the space in the middle was very open and felt comfortable. Most of the guests I see are Japanese. It takes two minutes to the subway station, and there is also aeon, Mitsuhide Akechi statue and castle nearby. When visiting Kyoto, we wanted to enjoy some time in an onsen resort so we decided to spend two nights in Ogoto Onsen. After checking the details in their website, we booked a ”Biwa no kaze”room with private onsen and view of Lake Biwako. And we were not disappointed. The room looks newly renovated, and is very spacious with two beds and sitting area plus a tatami room. They offer different dinner packages, and we have chosen crab with steak as the main dishes for the first night, and lobster with shabu-shabu the second night. The foods were of very high quality, tasted and looked very nice. The breakfast buffet was very good with a wide selection of different items. The ryokan is excellent in nearly all aspects. We would stay here again when we next visit Kyoto.

American nostalgic design, close to Kusatsu Station, I have plenty of parking spaces for self-driving tours, parking 500 Yen per day, room equipment bathroom shower toilet is very good.
