I accidentally booked a king-size bed when I needed a twin room. The price was the same, and I sent multiple messages requesting a change but received no reply. Upon arrival, I was told it would cost an extra 5,000 JPY per night, so I decided against it. I was also charged 2,100 JPY in tax for three nights. The breakfast was too expensive at 3,500 JPY per person. Otherwise, everything else was great – the facilities, gym, and hot spring were all excellent, and the spaces were quite large.

I've lost count of how many times I've stayed at Hotel Alla. It's always my first choice when I'm in Kyoto for business, and I'll book it as long as it's not too expensive.
