The location is excellent but after sleeping for 1 night, regret that I discovered my leg is full of bites after waking up. Hopefully the bed sheets can be regularly monitored.

I visited Kyoto with my wife for two nights and stayed at this wonderful hotel. Via Inn Kyoto Station is an excellent hotel and truly great value for money. The room was surprisingly spacious, which is not common in Japan, and it made our stay very comfortable. The location is unbeatable—right opposite Kyoto Station, making travel extremely convenient. There is also a 7‑Eleven convenience store connected directly to the hotel, so we didn’t even need to step outside for essentials. The free Wi‑Fi was fast and reliable throughout our stay. Overall, a fantastic experience and highly recommended.

Being so close to one of Kyoto’s main hubs means you have immediate access to trains, buses, and a wide range of shops and restaurants. Right at the entrance of the property, there is a 7-Eleven, which adds a great level of convenience. Whether you need a quick snack, drinks, or travel essentials, everything is easily accessible at any time of day. Additionally, Kyoto Station itself features a large shopping complex with countless dining options, retail stores, and services, so you are truly in the center of everything. The room size is on the smaller side, but this is typical for Kyoto and was expected. Despite the limited space, the room is functional and suitable for a short stay. The hotel operates with a modern, efficient system, offering automated check-in and check-out machines, which makes the process quick and hassle-free. Amenities are not placed inside the room; instead, guests can pick up what they need from the front desk. This approach is understandable and aligns well with environmentally friendly practices. Breakfast is a highlight of the stay. The quality of the food is very good, and the staff in the breakfast area are particularly warm, attentive, and welcoming, which adds a pleasant start to the day. However, there are a couple of drawbacks worth noting. The area above the bedboard was noticeably dusty, which detracts slightly from the overall cleanliness. In addition, the curtains do not fully block out the sunlight, resulting in the room becoming quite bright early in the morning. I would recommend that the hotel consider providing eye masks for guests, or alternatively, travelers should bring their own. It is also worth noting that eye masks are not available at the nearby 7-Eleven, and during my two-night stay, the strong morning sunlight consistently woke me up earlier than expected.

Facilities: New and well-designed. Cleanliness: Very clean. There's a 7-Eleven right downstairs and a FamilyMart within 200 meters. Service: Free luggage storage, and washing machines, ice makers, and microwaves on both the second and fourth floors. I'd definitely stay here again.

The location is great for Odaiba or the exhibition center, but not very convenient for anything else. Even the convenience store is a long walk away, and there's nothing else nearby. It's located in an office building, and the worst part was this: We arrived at noon, checked in, and stored our luggage. When we came back around 4 or 5 PM to get our room key, I don't understand what 'deluxe' means in 'deluxe king room,' and despite requesting a high floor in my notes, we were assigned to room 43 on the second floor – the furthest room possible. You have to walk around a large corner to the very end after exiting the elevator. The lighting was terrible, facing the atrium of the office building/hotel lobby. I don't know if it's because our booking was through an agent or what, but while Japanese hotels generally maintain their facilities well, you can tell the rooms here are quite old. There was even a smell of sweat when exiting the elevator on the second floor. I'm usually pretty laid-back, but this room felt like such a rip-off.

Fantastic inn for the price! Small room but sufficient for sleeping but if you have large luggages might be an issue when packing. Power plugs are all usb and the voltage needs to be throttled or you can ask for the wires from the reception. Overall have an awesome stay!

Very convenient location, close to Kyoto Station. The staff were super friendly and helpful, always ready to answer questions. The environment was lovely, and they even provided pajamas in the room. Breakfast was delicious and varied. Plus, they offer free luggage storage after check-out, which is a big plus!

The hotel's breakfast is amazing, with a wide variety of Western and Japanese options that are delicious. I highly recommend booking your room with breakfast included, as it's cheaper than adding it separately. Starting your day with such a perfect breakfast really makes for a great beginning to your travels!

The location is incredibly convenient, right next to Kyoto Station. It's just a few minutes' walk to the station, which makes getting to tourist spots super easy. You can catch a bus nearby directly to Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Sanjusangen-do Temple. Plus, the room was surprisingly spacious – much better than hotel rooms in Tokyo!
