Tennen Onsen Renka no Yu Onyado Nono Kyoto Shichijo

This is a hot spring hotel, and hotels in Kyoto are generally quite expensive. However, this hot spring hotel wasn't significantly pricier than others, so it felt like a pretty good deal. All the hot spring rooms are traditional tatami style. Downstairs, there are several hot spring baths to choose from. They also offer ramen and all-you-can-drink after 10 PM, as well as a buffet breakfast the next morning. After a bath, there are automatic massage chairs in the hallway. I used them several times. It felt like I got a full massage after my bath, saving me the cost of a separate massage. I felt completely rejuvenated!

Simply amazing! We had a wonderful stay. After a tiring day, it was so relaxing to soak in the hot springs and enjoy a popsicle afterwards. They even serve delicious ramen for late-night cravings, and the drinks were great too! I absolutely loved this hotel and will definitely stay here again next time I visit Kyoto. It's very convenient, too—less than a 10-minute walk to Kyoto Station even with kids.

We chose this hotel because we wanted to experience the hot springs, and I'd give it a 90 out of 100! The best part was the breakfast – a huge variety, with the sashimi rice and tempura being absolutely delicious. Plus, there were so many other side dishes, it was incredibly good value! Every evening, they also offer free ramen and popsicles. Having one after a hot spring soak was super refreshing. There are also beer and cocktail options (you need to top up a QR code at the front desk). The room was a bit small and felt a little stuffy, but it didn't have any strange smells, so overall it was alright. All in all, I highly recommend this place, especially if you're visiting during the off-peak season!

Traveling with kids, we were really looking forward to the hot springs. After a long search, we chose this hotel, thinking it was a chain and would have many pools. We checked in during the National Day holiday, and on the 30th, it was incredibly crowded. The changing rooms were so packed you could barely breathe, and there were many foreigners. The smell of sweat was overwhelming. The relaxation area was also full, reeking of body odor. After the 1st, the crowd suddenly thinned out. The relaxation area felt more ventilated, and the smell disappeared. The changing rooms were also free of any strange odors. It felt like the hotel promptly addressed and adjusted to the odor problem caused by the large crowd. The service was excellent, especially the front desk staff, who were consistently enthusiastic. I had an issue with my luggage delivery, as I couldn't make the payment online. The hotel staff continuously helped me communicate and find a solution, showing great responsibility.

Overall, the hotel was quite good in all aspects. The cleanliness was excellent, the room was spotless and tidy, and the facilities were well-maintained. However, the room space was a bit small and compact. During my stay, there were a lot of people, and the public areas could sometimes get quite lively. All in all, the value for money during holidays was average. It's a good choice if you prioritize cleanliness and convenience, but if you mind the space and crowds, you might want to consider other options.
