(The Fouquet’s restaurant in the hotel should not be missed) And of course one of the highlights is the location, just across from the beach and a spectacular view of it as well as the hotel’s lush garden and gorgeous outdoor pool. This is in addition to the indoor pool, and thallasso facilities. Le Royal is a hotel that has everything in a seaside , green, and equestrian environment in La Baule which makes you feel more relaxed every day. It’s a wonderful choice of which Barriere hotels can be very proud

12 years later back to the Castel Marie Louise, nice as always. Great staff, nice soft ambiance. Garden amazing and the location still unbeaten. Rooms are clean and food is great. Nevertheless, need a good refreshing as soon as possible. Bathrooms and rooms are a bit out dated. Still Recommend warmly. Thanks again for that wonderful weekend.

My wife and I were visiting family and the location was very convenient for us. We definitely enjoyed the seaside room on the top floor with all room amenities necessary. Clean and well maintained room that was above our expectations for the price. Included was a great breakfast buffet that could please everyone with a wide selection and replenished right away The staff in every department was very friendly, attentive and professional. This hotel was in a lovely location just a short stroll from the fabulous beach and promenade. The room was of adequate size but the facilities were very good. We had three lovely nights here where the staff made us very welcome. We would recommend this property to others.

Lovely small hotel, nicely styled - both public spaces and rooms - and very conveniently located just a small block from the beach and boulevard. Rooftop bar is a plus, it was open from 6 to 9pm. Also perfect to take a glass of wine to the hotel room (but they brought it to the room as well, when the bar was closed). The hotel has no lift, which was no problem for us (we were on the second floor, the third is the rooftop), but for some people this might be an issue. Parking is a challenge in La Baule, but we managed to find both paid and free parking very near to the hotel. EV charging is almost absent form La Baule, except at the La Poste Parking Garage. Unfortunately the operator there doesn’t seem to have his things in order: I managed to charge my car after repeated efforts and quite some stress and annoyment, but then it almost made me leave my charging cable stuck in the machine. Solved it with telephone assistance, a challenge in itself for a non native French speaker. Of course, the Best Western Brittany is not at all to be blamed for this, it is a problem for all of La Baule - as is the horrible traffic in town.
