Arrived for a one night stay and couldn’t fault the reception staff or the cleanliness. Room was bright and could tell they took pride in it being spotless. Would recommend asking for a room to the rear though if you’re a light sleeper as the dual carriage way is close to the rooms on the front and can be noisy during peak hours. The hotel is in an ideal location though apart from that with the beach and restaurants all close by. Can see why it’s a 2 star due to the lack of facilities such as a pool etc. but if you’re more just wanting a place to rest it’s perfect.

Hotel muy tranquilo y muy limpio el personal de recepción fueron siempre muy amables, el hotel está situado muy cerca de la playa. Por supuesto lo recomiendo yo cojo solo habitación sin desayuno pero abajo hay cafetería y cada mañana desayunaba en el . Como mencioné muy tranquilamente

To be a newly built hotel, the reception looked sadly old -fashioned. I lacked the opportunity to make coffee and tea in the room, especially as the breakfast café first opened at 8.30.
I emailed to the reception but never got any answer.

Buen hotel pequeño pero agradable, muy limpio y al lado de la playa de Mijas, dispone de un parking frente del hotel, mee de han ofrecido un código de descuento para mi próxima estancia, muchas gracias. También dispone de una cafetería para poder desayunar

Nice little hotel not far from the beach. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby and the staff is very helpfull.

Stayed 3 nights last week with golfing friends. Hotel Carmen is a small hotel that offers great hospitality. Situated centrally in Mijas, only 5-10 mins walk from the beach, we enjoyed comfortable clean rooms with good beds and shower. At the rear away from the road was quiet. Plenty of parking around. It would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but from around 08.30 there is a small bar/cafeteria on the ground floor of the hotel. Would be happy to stay here again.

With only 13 rooms it’s a real little gem in La Cala de Mijas. Nice, very clean rooms, some with seaview and French balcony. Staff is welcoming and very helpful if you have any questions. It doesn’t provide breakfast, but La Cala does in abundance.
