This was a find and a half! Mark is a woderful host who goes the extra mile to make your stay that bit more special. The facilities and pool are kept spotless. This site is in the heart of the countryside so quiet starlit nights are the norm. Great place to explore this part of France with ease of access to and from the site. 10/10 all ways round.

A little piece of tranquility. Incredibly friendly and accommodating host. This is our second year . There is plenty to do in the area including markets, beautiful villages, chateaux’s . A must is the local Kayak trip. The site is fairly priced. Spotlessly clean, fab pool area. Bread delivered in the morning. We will be back. A1.

We have stayed at Marks site in our caravan in May, June, July and August this year and have also had our parents staying in the gite with us in August. Marks site is so lovely and clean. Mark never stops checking his site and his customers to ensure they have a great stay. The grass areas are well maintained the pool is lovely and clean. The site is so tranquil ( although a little busier in August as expected). There are supermarkets, bars and restaurants in nearby towns. We went for a lovely walk around the neighbouring areas and saw wildlife and beautiful views. In August Mark does a bread run in the morning delivering our croissants to our caravan door. In the evening there is a neighborhood dog who comes round for a cuddle and a cheeky bit of tea 😉 if you are feeling generous. There is space for a game of boules and is plenty of shade to site your van or tent. We can not recommend this site highly enough. Keep up the good work. 👍👍

Amazing host. Very friendly. Get bread delivered in the morning from a local bakery. Wonderfully Friendly local dog that Comes round for a cuddle every now and then. Wifi is good and facilities are clean. Pool is very nice also. Would definitely come back again next year.

This is a campsite that is reflected by the owner's (Mark) pride in his campsite. The grass area would put many gardens to shame. The toilets are immaculate. To top it all, Mark ensures that you have everything you need. Nothing is too much trouble. This makes for one of the best campsites we have ever visited and therefore highly recommended. The area is very peaceful has many rural villages and towns nearby. This is an excellent cycling area, virtually car free with plenty of flat roads around the local area.

The location is tranquil, the hard standing pitch is perfect.. the facilities are superb. For us it was so important to have great hot showers and a laundry facility. The best point of difference here at Le Foret de Tesses, however, is the owner, Mark. From pre booking to during our stay till after our stay he has made absolutely sure every question we asked was answered. His service is truly 5 star. May IO give you an example... he cleaned the showers and toilet areas immediately after our use, having organised a reservation for us at the local Auberge. Upon arrival Mark even helped us unload some of our luggage. Mark has clearly worked very hard to ensure every client receives his very best attention and the campsite will not disappoint. We plan to return many times - starting with our return trip through France. We stayed in the middle of Winter. It is a place where you can stay at any time of year. The location, in Chaurent, some 60 miles (Estim) south of Poitiers and ten minutes from the N10 make it ideal to enjoy the Vienne region as well as provide a great break location en route to thew Wine Regions of the Dordogne and Champagne, Cognac and Bordeaux - as well as en route to Spain from Calais. So pleased we found this absolute gem. It is so clean and so brilliantly run. Visit and enjoy.

Immaculately clean and excellently presented gite. Beautiful location. Mark was so welcoming and helpful with lots of information about the location. Lots of areas to walk in the beautiful countryside. Great location, quick drive to the shops. Made us feel very welcome. The gite had everything you would need. The wood burner heated the whole gite. A beautiful location and Mark has done an amazing job. Highly recommend.
