Hotel Cerro Azul was gorgeous. My friends and I spent a few nights at the hotel for our friend’s birthdays. Such a beautiful place to stay! The staff was friendly and accommodating to any requests we had. We went to the bar and had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel and the food was delicious. Within walking distance of the hotel there were places to visit and explore. A great chance to get to know the locals. The hotel was also a perfect destination if you’re looking to do tours, like the volcano tour, zip lining, or a chocolate tour as it was a hub for bus pick up if you do not have your own car. The cabins were clean and comfortable. Plenty of space for what we needed! We all felt at home whether it was because of the staff or just the overall atmosphere! If you’re looking to book a trip, I can’t recommended this place enough!

I loved the private cabins set in beautiful tropical surroundings. We enjoyed the short hike down to the river, which was very peaceful & relaxing. The breakfasts each morning were delicious and prepared fresh to order.
All of the staff were very accommodating, helpful and friendly.
The only issue I had was the bathroom shower water wouldn't get hot. Apparently there was a trick I never figured out.
Also, I was surprised that the property was so close to a busy road and at times traffic noise was loud. The little bar area was very nice but sits right next to the road.
Overall, a wonderful experience!

I would definately come back to this location. The staff was great, it is clean and several tourist options for sight seeing and restaurants. If there were one thing I would recommend to change is the water temperature for the showers was very cold, so increase the water heaters. However, if you are coming during the hot summer months it may be refreshing.
