Sol Los Fenicios

We went for a family holiday and the hotel felt like a second home. The staff was professional yet approachable and friendly, the rooms decorated in a conservative fashion are generously proportioned and the bed sheets impeccable. Food was fresh and with enough variety to have a complete change of menu daily for a week. The beach is at the door step and plenty of water sports are available in the vicinity. It’s not a sophisticated venue but incredibly welcoming and honest. 10/10 would go again!

This is a lovely, quaint, small hotel in a good location. The hotel only has around 40 bedrooms so it is quiet and ideal for couples. The food on the breakfast buffet was delicious and fresh. The evening food was acceptable but not great so we did eat out a couple of evenings. I can’t remember what it’s called but can recommend the restaurant almost directly opposite the hotel - situated on the beach. I can also highly recommend eating at a restaurant just a few doors down from the hotel - blue and white signage. Delicious pizzas and slow cooked lamb! Anyway, back to the hotel…I think some music in the restaurant there would be a welcome addition as it is so small with so few diners, it is almost silent at times! The staff are friendly & helpful - they humoured me as I practiced my Spanish! Our bedroom was spacious and clean; we payed a little more for a sea view which we enjoyed. The bed was a bit hard but we slept well - it was quiet except for the sound of the sea. The hotel is on a main(ish) road but it doesn’t get too busy. The beach is shingle and not sand. We sat around the hotel’s swimming pool a couple of times - it was a bit too cold to go into the water in May - and enjoyed the view from the roof of the hotel which is where the pool is situated. I would recommend this hotel for a peaceful couples / adults break.

We had a room overlooking the beach which included a small balcony. I suspect that the views from the other rooms along the sides of the hotel were not quite so good. Beach access was easy - just cross the road and you're there. Mainly pebbles & coarse grit, with a few sandy patches. No problem renting a sunbed - plentiful supply. Several restaurants along the seafront, some good, some expensive. The evening buffet in the hotel was very high quality, plenty of choice, and even less expensive than most restaurants. Beach was busy but no rowdy occupants! This is our third visit & we will be back soon.

The property has a wonderful view of the Mediterranean and the beach right across the street is perfect. The only downside is that parking is quite a challenge in the area.

Very pleasant hotel in a wonderful location, a lucky find at the last minute. The hotel is well run and clean, we booked for 2 nights but were so relaxed stayed an extra night. We booked the full sea view room whose balcony looked directly out to sea with an incredible view, you could lie in bed with the balcony door open which was wonderful. We booked the half board option which should be avoided, the food was plentiful but not very good (not 4* anyway) and always stone cold. Needless to say to say, the extra night was just B&B. There are plenty of bars and restaurants close. The town was a real surprise with a peaceful yet vibrant feeling. We stayed mid week and had the feeling it got busier on the weekends. The rooftop pool was small but not too busy (midweek) with plenary of beds and parasols and also spotlessly clean.

We had a four night stay here, while visiting relatives who live in the area. The hotel was perfect for our needs. The location, straight onto the beach was fantastic. Breakfast overlooking the sea, beautiful. The rooms were spacious and clean.

I would revisit for a longer holiday I used it as a B&B as I had friends who live in the area. All the staff I met were friendly, engaging and willing to help. It’s across the road from the beach and they provided towels for any guest who wished to go swimming. The rooftop pool appears clean and well maintained.
