Laguna Nivaria Hotel & Spa

My friend and I stayed here for six nights on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis, booked into two adjoining Superior rooms with an interconnecting door. This arrangement of the rooms was important for us and on arrival was exactly as we'd requested in advance. Our rooms were quiet, spacious and well laid-out, had supremely comfortable beds and a bathroom complete with a whirlpool bath, bathrobe and slippers. Foodwise, the buffet-style breakfast offered a good range of options, while we found the (half-board) dinner menu limited in that respect, though on asking the staff we were able to mix and match menu items to satisfy our needs without any trouble. Inside, the hotel's public areas offered a welcoming environment, with seating areas on landings and a lovely, airy indoor coffee and meals area as well as a bar. Some comments here have suggested that the hotel accommodation appeared "tired", but I would disagree, as I feel upgrading might only reduce the charm and comfort it has at present. Lastly (and most importantly in my view), special mention has to be made regarding the staff - always smiling, always helpful, they all played a large role in making our stay so memorable. Staff can make a huge difference to a hotel - and they do here. Also a special mention from me here for Diana at Reception, her help in booking the rooms was very much appreciated, as was her advice about using the tram and where to go - thanks Diana! In short, we couldn't have asked for more, but instead felt we'd received much more during our stay. I hope to be back.

Appreciated the accommodating staff and room upgrade. Only downside was ants in the bathtub which the cleaning staff took care of immediately.

This hotel is a great choice if you want to stay close to the airport before an early flight or after late landing. The rooms are clean and spacious, there is a great restaurant on site, front desk was professional and helpful, and they even provided me with a packed breakfast as i was leaving before they served breakfast.

The breakfast was of the highest quality.

Nice hotel, good style! Room was comfortable, clean, and furnished with good taste. Excellent location in the historic town center of La Laguna. Nothing to complain about!

We spent two nights at this hotel while on a hiking trip of the northern Tenerife. We had a very nice stay - the room was maybe a bit small but very tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. The hotel staff was very helpful especially Diana (I am not sure about the spelling, sorry!). The breakfast was very good quality with a variety of choices. We tried the spa associated with this hotel which we enjoyed very much. As well, we had a dinner at this hotel and it exceeded our expectations. We panicked the first when we arrived and there was nowhere to park and there was a huge line to the paid parking lot across the street. But it was only because there was some kind of convention happening and we didn't have any problems after that. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.
