We had booked October 20 with friends at this hostel for December 31. When we arrived there, we were surprised to see that the hostel was closed and that we had not received any cancellation or notice from the owners to this effect. Our calls went to a voicemail.

Beautiful, quiet, clean, friendly staff ❤️ perfect for going to relax and unwind, I would go back without hesitation.
Having basic knowledge of communicating with staff is an asset 🙂

We were made to wait at reception because the owners were arguing… in Chinese. Besides, they speak almost no French, a little English, and are extremely stressed, so it is impossible to get information. At lunch, the tables were not cleared, so we had to set up a table ourselves and when there was no more coffee in the coffee machine, it was impossible to find someone to fill it. In addition they charged us for the room twice and we had to demand a refund, not without problem.

Inept communication of both official languages. Wifi did not work in annex that we stayed. Breakfast was awful, no coffee, no hot water for tea and no visible service, even though I kept calling and looking for someone. Although the room was clean, it was the worst accommodation I have ever stayed at. Where on earth did the 3 stars come from?
