We have just arrived back from 8 nights at Hotel Albir with 5 children in tow. We were self catering and our room was spacious and clean. A little bit dated but didn't worry us one bit, glorious views from our balcony of the pool and the sunset on the mountain. Bring your own dishcloth, fairy liquid, and pool towels, but everything else was provided. They had corkscrews, bottle openers, plentiful cutlery and crockery. There is a supermarket directly across the street, and you MUST try the homemade food on the left hand side as you enter the shop (past the cafe), all you need to do is warm it up in your microwave and it is absolutely delicious! If you have little children, I would strongly advise to take shorty wetsuits for them, I was so pleased I did, the pool and waterpark is cold but they lasted much longer in the suits. Entertainment was fun, kids club was brilliant, Manel, Juan and Alex made all the children join in and there was always something to do, we made bracelets, played shuffle board, bingo,, face painting, magic show, mini golf, uno, and loads more. Not sure I would want to go at the height of summer, it was quite busy when the sun came out but there was plenty of room for everyone especially when they opened the Asiatic Garden. Hotel was spotless, the floors were shining, could hear people in the corridor after the entertainment finished but it was no bother, wasn't very loud and didn't disturb any of the children. The waterpark was the main bonus for me, it was safe, there were lots of lifeguards and my children absolutely loved it. Beach is a 15 min walk, a bit pebbly, and a bit of a drop off into the sea so wasn't really safe for the children. Hope to come back next year!
