This is a hotel with no road access! When we arrived at night, the driver put us on the side of the dark road and pointed to the wooden sign. Let's carry four large boxes and a few hand luggage and walk down. We can see nothing but a gravel road below. Later, the driver felt that it was a bit outrageous to let us go exploring by ourselves, so we dared to go down after he said he would take us down with him. For this reason, we paid the driver double the fare. This is a hotel similar to a forest cabin. The lobby is on the beach at the foot of the mountain. You need to walk down the mountain road for 15 minutes from the road to see it. You can imagine how difficult it is to carry luggage. What's outrageous is that the product page has no introduction at all, which makes people very speechless. The service staff at the hotel are quite nice, but I can't be contacted by phone or email. They use WhatsApp. Guests with a lot of luggage should be careful.

We arrived by a beautiful boat ride to this stunning place. Ronald and all the staff were so welcoming and accommodating. The view from our room was breathtaking. We love this place and will definitely come back ❤️

Very cute hotel far away from the hussel and bussel of everything.
While the distance might inconvenience some, that was exactly what we were looking for.
As mentioned in the other comments, the hotel isn’t the easiest to get to as you have to go down a little goat path if you come in from the top of the mountain.
Definitely recommend getting the shuttle offered by the hotel to pick you up from the airport as our taxi driver had a hard time finding it haha.
Super friendly staff, ready to help no matter the issue, even carried our (and in my case very heavy) suitcases down the path.
Food is average but prepared with care. Electricity and (hot) water is limited and internet is only available in the main area from 6-9pm but they extended that time for us as we were the only people there at that time.
Cute little beach in front of the hotel though there is a lot of trash (not the hotel’s fault- visible across all the islands)
Just 1 tip: BRING MOSQUITO SPRAY! 🤭

Although we were the only guests in the complex at times, the service left a lot to be desired. There wasn't enough cold beer, the food was really awful, WiFi was only available in the restaurant in the evenings and the stairs to the rooms were quite an adventure. The complex has seen better days. The supposedly beautiful beach is not tidied, the tables in the restaurant are not cleared and the gardens themselves are not kept in good condition. The staff spend the whole day in the restaurant on their cell phones and only respond when you speak to them directly. The location is outside the city and you always have to take a boat or a taxi to eat somewhere else... All of this costs extra. Very poor value for money.

The hotel is out of the way. Therefore, if you have to do activities (diving or excursions) it is less practical than being located near the center of Labuan Bajo. We are at the mercy of taxis and Grab (Uber) does not work in Labuan Bajo. Accommodation is basic, a trickle of water for the sink. To access the hotel, you are dropped off on the main road and then you have to go down a path then by endless steps to go to the reception which is located at the beach level. We are constantly going up and down in this hotel. We wanted to enjoy the beach but with the tide, we can only swim in the morning, after returning from excursions this is no longer possible. Wifi does not work in the rooms and only from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the restaurant.

When we arrived at Waecicu, staff took our bags but no-one showed us to our room or reception so we were initially a little lost. When someone eventually came and found us, we were shown our room (advertised with 'ocean views') actually had only a small cellar window that looked down on a worksite, yet there were plenty of mozzies as the walls did not meet the roof. Our sink was blocked and would not drain as was the sink in the restaurant toilets which also had no toilet paper or soap. The other toilet was out of order. We booked for three nights, but three months earlier cancelled one night, yet despite the notice and assurances to sort it once we arrived in person, we were not refunded the third night. The acting manager said he would provide a breakfast pack as we were going on a boat tour, but did not wake up in time, so we were the only family on the tour without breakfast. After being quite assertive, we were offered an upgrade and were given a beautiful room with an outstanding view and had a good time in the end. The waiter and boat driver was truly lovely. We will not be going to Waecicu again.
