Thank you to Anne for hosting us. Such an attentive host who went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable. The staff were friendly and i enjoyed being in close proximity to shopping centers. Thank you

We stayed at the Royal with a large group and were very well looked after. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The bar and dining room have a lovely atmosphere. The food is obviously home cooked and offers a wide variety both for dinner and breakfast. The hosts and staff try to make you feel at home.

We wanted to pop in for a cup of tea, but upon entering the hotel and walking towards the bar, the receptionist very rudely shouted, "HELL-OO!?" at us, as though we shouldn't have dared enter the establishment. We asked if the hotel is actually open, as everything (bar, coffee shop) appeared closed. She snapped that, yes, they are open. We asked if we could have a cup of tea, and were told that wasn't possible. So we left, and it will be a cold day in hell before we return. So much history and possibility, but ruined by ignorant, rude receptionist.

The Love Your Nuts (cycling for Testicular awareness) Cycle tour overnighted in The Royal Hotel Ladysmith and were welcomed by friendly efficient staff. Nothing was too much for them. A cool pool to splash in after the days cycle, good food in the restaurant and an hearty breakfast the next morning before we set off on our next leg. I would like to thank Anne and her awesome staff for putting us up for the night. Rooms spacious and clean. Service AWESOME. Staff friendly and efficient

We had a wonderful nights rest at the Royal Hotel in Ladysmith. We were even so lucky to have a buffet dinner instead of a breakfast. The service was 5-star and the bed was very comfy and we had fresh, crispy linen on the bed.
