Stayed here for a Reba McEntire concert at the Cajundome which was literally across the street! Dry convenient. Friendly staff! Clean rooms and good breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. It too far from other eating areas etc. I would definitely stay again!

This place had potential, but definitely fell short for a disappointing weekend stay. We were in town for a baseball tournament and chose to stay here due to it being a newer property. We usually always choose a Marriott hotel due to being a member and collecting points for future stays. The area surrounding the hotel was great. A positive for this hotel is that there are tons of restaurants and shopping right around the hotel. Upon entering the hotel we noticed that all of the trash cans were overflowing. When we arrived in our room we noticed that there was only half a roll of toilet paper, no Kleenex, and no laundry bags. The room was large, but did show some wear and tear. Everything appeared to be clean. There was a full size refrigerator which was definitely a bonus. Our room was not cleaned the next day and towels and toiletry items were not replenished. Although there was a coffee pot there were no cups or condiments. The breakfast downstairs was minimal, crowded, and dirty. They were out of coffee by 9:00 am. When we returned to the hotel the second evening all of the trash cans were overflowing again. It just had a dirty feel overall. We stayed at the Springhill Suites River Ranch the last time we were in the same area and had a much more enjoyable experience. If you are looking for a moderate option in this area I would pass on this one. There are better options at around the same price point.

Rooms are clean, spacious and roomy. Beds are comfy. Listed as a queen but it was bigger. Breakfast was basic, no hot breakfast (eggs, bacon, etc.) but had bread for toast, cereal, juice, coffee, etc. When you arrive, be patient with the front desk person. 25 minutes to check in and IMO they were under the influence.

This hotel was in a very good location just a bit off the highway. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. I asked for a suite and we had one on the 2nd level right across from the elevator. I was skeptical thinking the noise would be higher but in fact it was not an issue at all. The beds were comfortable. The TV/remote worked just fine however the USB cable port did not. We had our plugs so that was an easy fix. Elevator was reliable and quick. The hallways were clean. The bathroom was OK, but you could see that there was some patching that had been done. Parking was ample. There isn't a place to sit and relax outside of the hotel but not everyone likes to have that option. The breakfast was available an hour earlier which was perfect as we had an early start and would have missed it. Standard fare but fresh, hot, and there was a good mix of items. The attendant/cook was very friendly and was checking to make certain things were hot and stocked. Restaurants were close by and a good variety of options for dinner. We would stay here again.

Excellent
SShakeMA simple stay. The room was nice. They need more work on cleanliness. I had to request another comforter as my had dirt and hair on it. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was nice.
Service was hit or miss. The gentleman at check-in was rude and didn't listen when I told him I prepaid. He charged my card again instead of just places it in hold for incidentals. I had to have the manager correct it the next morning. It took some time but she was nice.
GGuest UserI will try to be as unbiased as possible. It was only 5 days ago that I was in a newly constructed Residence Inn in a major city. Overall, Residence Inn Lafayette Airport was a really good stay. Pros: This place is extremely clean. The cleaning staff goes out of their way to make sure this place is clean from top to bottom. It has that fresh, clean aroma all throughout the property. The entire room was spotless upon arrival. Additionally, the front desk staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. They are very quick to respond to messages sent via the chat function in the Bonvoy app. I regret not getting the name of the agent that checked us in, but she was extremely helpful in suggesting local cuisine. Feezo's is now my new favorite restaurant for chargrilled oysters. Cons: The rooms are really dated and shows plenty of wear and tear. More specifically, the mattress was in pretty bad shape. It had hills and valleys from head to toe and was NOT comfortable. I'm almost certain it's an original mattress from the opening of the property. Same goes for the couch. It was NOT comfortable at all. The pillows and cushions were in very bad shape. Mind you, these items were very clean, but old and worn out. The tv's are also dated. They are really small, probably Gen1 plasma, 24 inches. The channel lineup was impressive, however. I haven't seen that many channels in a hotel in a while. In conclusion, it was a good stay. I was more impressed with the cleanliness than the actual room. Breakfast was ok... food was good, but there was no cheese at all. I haven't decided if I will stay here again in the future as I am accustomed to a more updated hotel atmosphere.
GGuest UserThis is by far the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. To start, when I entered the hotel, the agent at the desk didn't even greet me. She stared at me as if I was supposed to speak to her first. She was more worried with the FaceTime call she was on than to take care of a guest. So I then get to my room to be horrified. I first booked a queen studio and received a 2 double bed. No biggie, but I would have liked to have been informed at check in that my room type was no longer available. I get to the room and thats where it got the worst. The room was disgusting. There were stains on the bed, old cigarets in the window seal (had to have been there for a while or they wouldn't be almost black), dirty grimy counter tops, dirty microwave, and much more. At this point I just wanted a new and hopefully CLEAN room. I called down to the desk to ask for a room move and in mid explanation I was hung up on. I then walked down to the desk and told her to just cancel my room. At this point I just wanted out! She then tells me she has to charge me and check me out (keep in mind I was in there for 5-10 mins tops). She then informs me that only the General Manager can apply the refund and to call at 11pm to speak with him. I called back as instructed and voiced my concerns and disgust with the General Manager Brandon, to only be dismissed. He is the most unprofessional manager I have ever encountered. I barley got an apology and the one I did get was short and dismissive. I now understand why the staff is the way they are because they are being lead by someone who is far from caring and professional. I will never stay at this property again and I would suggest the same for you. At least allow me to save you the headache. I hope these comments are used for training and accountability. This property is doing very poorly at upholding IHG standards and should be further investigated.
Ooutlaw1865This place has no business being open for business in its current condition, we booked last minuet on Priceline and was given what we thought was a very reasonable rate at $59.95 plus tax. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly young woman at the front desk who immediately began apologizing for the condition of the hotel which is never a good sign saying it was currently under ”heavy renovation” (whatever that means), then went on to say that they were also having employee issues with their housekeeping crew so she was not sure yet which rooms had been cleaned. Looking back with 20/20 hindsight we should have simply cut our losses and sought shelter elsewhere but after driving all day we were tired & hungry, and just wanted a place to hang our hats for the night. The first room we were given had an extremely strong mildew smell that nearly knocked us over, the second room we were given key's to had been completely gutted as in no beds, no carpet, no TV, no fridge, etc. etc. just 4 bare walls and a floor and the 3rd room while it did have beds, a fridge, working TV, and a furnished bathroom, it had no clock, no phone, no microwave, & no coffee pot, just the most basic bare necessities and nothing more. There were no restaurants in the immediate area plus the hotel is in a rather sketchy neighborhood, so much so that the Uber driver we hired to take us to a decent restaurant for dinner told us to be sure and be back before nightfall as most Uber drivers will not go to that neighborhood after dark! Best to just steer clear of this trainwreck altogether, virtually anything would be a better option.
GGuest UserThanks for a good on a daily basis I’ve never felt so much like I’m home here at the red roof inn. Thank you so much It’s always been a good stay whenever I get to the hotel much friendly staff and the hotel is under renovation and doing some good job on new room. I wish I had some pictures to share for new room but you can find new room picture in google.
