Hotels Near Walmart Supercenter in Lafayette

This is a wonderful location for any destination you want go to in Lafayette, every thing is convient. The only reason for not having a perfect 10 in all catagories is due to Covid restrictions. It is time we move past this and try and get back to some degree of normal, ie: Daily house keeping, better breakfast, etc. We were told the property was in line for a little remodeling/updates. We decided to spend 2 nights and stay in a King Room. Our stay had a few problems. The room door was difficult to close and must be slammed to latch the lock. Our keys were disabled after the first night and the front desk clerk proceeded to lecture us about not putting key near phone or credit cards which we never do and my spouse and I do not store our hotel keys together. (We stay 100+ days a year in hotels.) The rooms need maintenance. The breakfast buffet was missing hot eggs but had pork sausage links and bacon, waffles, mini muffins, cereal, yogurt, mini cinnamon rolls. It's a carbohydrate/sugar lovers dream.

This is our go to “Home” when we go to Lafayette. We have stayed here many times when traveling and with our grandsons baseball teams. The hotel and our rooms are always so clean and welcoming. We love the size of the rooms with the sofa and lil kitchen set up. The free breakfast is definitely a plus with very good choices and so good. The staff is very attentive and friendly. When we had to evacuate from home because of a hurricane last year I knew this is where I wanted to go and they did not disappoint. We were there for a few weeks with two other of our family members and their kids. The washer & dryers on site were so very useful. There are eating places in walking distance and we spent quite a bit of time in the lil park right out side. Location is perfect with things close by but the way the place is set up you don’t feel crowed. Sometimes we would took walks on the premises and area.

This is by far the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. To start, when I entered the hotel, the agent at the desk didn't even greet me. She stared at me as if I was supposed to speak to her first. She was more worried with the FaceTime call she was on than to take care of a guest. So I then get to my room to be horrified. I first booked a queen studio and received a 2 double bed. No biggie, but I would have liked to have been informed at check in that my room type was no longer available. I get to the room and thats where it got the worst. The room was disgusting. There were stains on the bed, old cigarets in the window seal (had to have been there for a while or they wouldn't be almost black), dirty grimy counter tops, dirty microwave, and much more. At this point I just wanted a new and hopefully CLEAN room. I called down to the desk to ask for a room move and in mid explanation I was hung up on. I then walked down to the desk and told her to just cancel my room. At this point I just wanted out! She then tells me she has to charge me and check me out (keep in mind I was in there for 5-10 mins tops). She then informs me that only the General Manager can apply the refund and to call at 11pm to speak with him. I called back as instructed and voiced my concerns and disgust with the General Manager Brandon, to only be dismissed. He is the most unprofessional manager I have ever encountered. I barley got an apology and the one I did get was short and dismissive. I now understand why the staff is the way they are because they are being lead by someone who is far from caring and professional. I will never stay at this property again and I would suggest the same for you. At least allow me to save you the headache. I hope these comments are used for training and accountability. This property is doing very poorly at upholding IHG standards and should be further investigated.

The entire staff had friendly, professional, disposition. My room was clean with enough towels. The bed and pillows were quite comfortable The breakfast bar was very nice, there was a wide variety of items to choose from. Covid-19 intructions were displayed to remind guests to practice social distancing. I would return to this hotel and recommend it to others.

We were in Lafayette with the Cajun/zydeco dance group for Mardi Gras. The hotel was extremely clean, updated and nicely decorated, The staff were very polite, attentive, friendly, efficient, personable and engaging. The staff (Nelson, Tasha and Gabriella) at breakfast every morning were outstanding and made our trip even more fun! The breakfast was always fresh and tasty with a good variety of items to choose from. The front desk staff were also very welcoming and attentive happy to help with all of our requests. We loved having a coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave in our room. The beds were comfortable and the water pressure was good with hot water always available. I appreciated the dove soap amenities and the dispensers in the shower and the sink. Our only complaint was the lack of a toilet seat cover which we all felt wasn’t very sanitary. Overall a lovely experience in Lafayette at the Holiday Inn ! We would all choose this hotel again because the staff went above and beyond which we all know is hard to come by these days. Drury Inn & Suites in Lafayette, La. is not only exceptional because of the beautiful rooms, pool, and ambiance. This hotel is remarkable because of the beautiful people that staff this place. My family and I came to this hotel in a time of crisis; hurricane Ida. We could not find a hotel with reasonable prices, seemingly comfortable or suitable for my age-varied family, stemming from my 1 year old niece to my senior grandpa, and our puppy. Amidst our last-minute searches, somehow, someway, the Drury Inn save the day, truly. Between a welcoming staff that greets you right at the door, cooks/chefs in the kitchen there to help, greet and converse with you at their buffet. The list goes on and on. You all were a safety net to my family and the ways you looked out for us are immeasurable, and I'm not exaggerating. Please don't change, and continue to be the wonderful, hospitable, and all-around considerate people family has ever encountered. By the way, I know I seemed to dedicate this message to the staff of Drury Inn, I feel I should also, at least mention the other great aspects of his hotel. :) The rooms, beds, and bathrooms are beautiful, cool, and encapsulating. The kitchen, open and inviting with coffee kept me active all day a multipurpose buffet. I believe there was a card for a complimentary drink or two, as well. The pool and complimentary towels: are refreshing. The chandelier and ambiance of the lobby was beautiful, as well. And there was one of my favorites, a gym included in the hotel! It was an all-around great experience that made my family and I feel as though we were still safe and protected amidst the chaos that brewed at home and on the news. We will continue to recommend this Inn to anyone asking!

This hotel was in a very good location just a bit off the highway. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. I asked for a suite and we had one on the 2nd level right across from the elevator. I was skeptical thinking the noise would be higher but in fact it was not an issue at all. The beds were comfortable. The TV/remote worked just fine however the USB cable port did not. We had our plugs so that was an easy fix. Elevator was reliable and quick. The hallways were clean. The bathroom was OK, but you could see that there was some patching that had been done. Parking was ample. There isn't a place to sit and relax outside of the hotel but not everyone likes to have that option. The breakfast was available an hour earlier which was perfect as we had an early start and would have missed it. Standard fare but fresh, hot, and there was a good mix of items. The attendant/cook was very friendly and was checking to make certain things were hot and stocked. Restaurants were close by and a good variety of options for dinner. We would stay here again.
