This is the closest hotel to Laguna Beach. There is free tea and coffee in the morning at the hotel lobby bar, and free self-service refills. Everything is very good, except that it is expensive. Yesterday I had the most spectacular day at the Spa Montage. It was a very special day because it was my boyfriend’s birthday and his mom was in town from Austin, and we were so excited to get the chance to spend time together and relax. Kate was our server at the pool and she went above and beyond, exceeding the expectations of our group by anticipating our needs. She frequently had help, Luis being another added value to our overall experience. I highly recommend getting over to Spa Montage and asking specifically for these employees to really ensure you’re in good hands. An incredible day and one we will remember forever!

The Montage Laguna Beach is inarguably stunning - set in a beautiful, serene location on the beach. However, the staff and service is what sets this hotel worlds apart from other luxury properties in the area, and in the world! From the moment you arrive at valet you are treated like a VIP. Each staff member pointedly stops, looks you in the eye, greets you, makes sure you're happy/taken care of. Staff members seems to sort of magically know your name, addressing you as so. Everyone on staff is so kind, poised, friendly, attentive, professional and buttoned up - but not stuffy. The rooms are stunning to begin with, and housekeeping is impeccable. Also, they were so discrete and swift - I never saw anyone cleaning my room but my room was always in order when I returned to it. I cannot say enough about the 5 star staff and service at this property. Easily top 3 in the US and top 10 in the world. Thank you to the entire staff for a wonderful stay, I will definitely be back with my family!
