Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

My fiancé and I got the privilege of experiencing the Grand Floridian Spa last week. Upon entering the Grand Floridian resort, you take the first right hand turn. There is a parking lot right behind the building and a very short walk to the front entrance. We were pleasantly greeted by the front staff. Since we were getting a couples massage, they had us each pick a stone that called out to us and place it in a small greenhouse in the lobby. They explained which each stone we chose meant. My fiancé was a bit concerned because the day prior he had almost thrown his back out and was in quite a bit of pain. He didn't want to skip the massage, but he also didn't want his back to be more messed up because of one. We voiced our concerns about it, and they were very accommodating. They also added on a soothing balm service that he really enjoyed and said help with the pain of his lower back. He liked it so much, he wanted to purchase some, but sadly they didn't sell that particular product. Wendy and Robert were our masseuse, and they were amazing. They knew this was our very first massage ever, so they were especially excited for us. Throughout the massage they kept checking in to make sure the conditions were right and there weren't any issues with pressure, etc. I especially liked the use of hot towels throughout the process. I loved the other amenities that were included at the spa. They had a waiting area with spa water and a few light snacks to munch on. They also had a sauna, hot tub and heated lounge chairs to use. The locker room and bathroom were also fully stocked with towels, shampoo/conditioner, soap, mouth wash, etc. When they give you the tour in the beginning, they make sure you know that should you need anything that you cannot find to please reach out. You are given a plush robe and slippers to use during your stay, as well. The service and amenities here were absolutely top notch. I don't have one negative thing to say about the space or my experience, in general. My fiancé and I have decided that every trip going forward is going to include time at the spa. I am so excited to continue to try more of what is offered at the spa.

This is the worst service and relacionshipma hotel has with the heat I fave a diaabiliyu son and they don’t care AA thing this is dis eu where dreams come true really desapointed with the staff and they only work like robots are not people any more they lost the love that Disney represented I come to this hotel since 1987

Out of all the Disney resorts, it’s definitely the nicest. It would be the equivalent of a 3 star resort anywhere else in the world. Rooms are spacious and newly refurbished, still pretty basic but very comfy and everything you need. Proximity to magic kingdom is what you are really paying for here. Guest services all really helpful (except if you ask them to book a non-Disney restaurant!) We enjoyed out stay but just don’t expect it to be like the four seasons despite the price being similar.

This resort is absolutely beautiful and so clean! They have the hardest working staff that I have ever seen. They were dusting the wrought iron fencing. The staff is extemely friendly and accommodating! This was literally the best experience I’ve ever had. It smells so good that I had to ask what scent that was lol then I bought candles and other items in the Basin on the 2nd floor. Make sure and wear comfortable shoes, it’s a huge resort.

Although the grounds are beautiful I was dissapointed with my room here. We arrived very late on a Saturday night due to our flight being delayed several times. Upon opening our room door I didnt get the wow I was expecting from the reviews and price of this resort. My main complaint is the carpet. Our carpet was very stained and even had a wet spot on the floor which according to the smell on my sock I think it was coffee. I found a spider on my pillow one night. The toliet area was shared by the shower/tub combo and didnt allow much space. I noticed the carpet throughout the villa building had several stains as well. The resort is beautiful overall. I really enjoyed the cabanas at the slide pool, watching my girls at the adorable splash pad, and the conveince of the monorail and getting to Magic Kingdom. I really just wanted more at this price level and reputation. I wouldnt stay again due to the room size, condition, and not feeling comfortable enough in the room which is absolutely what you need after long days at the parks.

My experience at the Grand Floridian was truly unforgettable. It is a magical hotel that transports you to another world. If you are looking for a place to stay in Walt Disney World that offers you luxury, elegance and first-class service, the Grand Floridian is the best option.

Me and my 2 children have just spent an amazing 14 nights here. I cannot fault a thing. Our room had a wonderful view of the the castle and lagoon. My children enjoyed the pools and the activities provided. I cannot understand some of the negative feedback. Yes the lobby area can get busy, but there is so many visitors that come to enjoy the gorgeous lobby at the Grand Floridan who maybe cannot afford to stay. If I could provide a little constructive feedback would be to have band access to the pool area like the Riveria resort to make it that more private. I noticed 4 young teens who were not staying at the hotel manage to get in and enjoy the pool for the day. Yes you cannot get food and drinks after 11pm but Uber eats delivers to the front lobby so if you do feel peckish this is an option. The enchanted rose is sophisticated and I enjoyed the island rose after a long day at the parks. The amentities in the room were second to none and all staff were pleasant and friendly after seeing our faces for 2 weeks they must of got used to us. I will be returning again for 2 weeks at the end of the year and cannot waiting to come back. Thank you Grand Floridan and staff for making our stay so specials. Special thanks to our housekeeper yrais she was amazing and our room was cleaned to an excellent standard every day. Even made towel animals every day my girls loved coming to the surprise every night. Thanks to Lawson in front desk he was lovely and helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay

We took our granddaughter to the hotel for lunch and had a wonderful experience. We ate in the Gand Floridian Cafe, and all three of us had delicious meals. The granddaughter and I had French toast and my wife had the salmon dish. We also spent time in the main lobby which is stunningly beautiful and walked on the grounds which were well manicured and contained numerous beds of red geraniums. A delightful experience, indeed!

First, let me say that I truly believe the Grand Floridian is one of the most beautiful resorts in the world. The lobby is breathtaking, and we stayed in a newly remodeled room which is one of the prettiest we’ve ever stayed in - the decor is absolutely lovely. We were also two adults traveling without kids, so that certainly impacts this review. With that said, most other aspects of this resort were disappointing. With a price point that rivals, or exceeds, other luxury resorts in the area (Ritz, Waldorf, Four Seasons, etc.) the services are nowhere near what a guest should reasonably expect. At most luxury resorts, a guest expects to have a place to eat breakfast or have a drink before dinner. I certainly understand making dinner reservations, but the fact that you have to make reservations in order to have a sit down (not quick service) breakfast at a hotel you pay over $900/night for is insane (we waited almost 90 minutes for breakfast). We wanted a relaxing vacation by the pool, and we expected a nice pool bar with a decent menu and instead the menu was a choice between two cold, day-old sandwiches in a cardboard box. Again, fine for a normal resort - but not a luxury one. I ordered a sandwich from the quick service restaurant on property one day and the acted annoyed at my request for an item on the side. The food, and service, in general, at this resort was disappointing. There is no place to simply grab a drink and relax, without waiting over an hour for a seat the hotel bar. And finally, there was no turn down service and I had to request housekeeping to come clean the room one of the days. I appreciate the Disney magic, the location, and the beauty of the hotel, but I feel strongly that guests should be entitled to certain basic amenities when paying a premium price, and thats what was most disappointing. The decision to stay here vs. a luxury hotel off-property is a no-brainer.
