The Lodge at Blue Lakes

Room was not what we expected, thin walls could hear baby crying from other room. Staff was very friendly and helpful did all she could do.

I ordered room online 135 a night,for 2 nights but they charged me 4 nights I asked to stay a extra night and they charged 400 for that night so total for 3 nights was like 1200, they won't return money, the managers grandchildren come into our family Christmas party and eat lots of food and grabbed bottle water and whole bag of our Christmas chocolates, ive stayed there off n on for over 50 years and never had such a bad Christmas because of their shenanigans

We stayed at The Lodge at Blue Lakes from September 25–28, 2025, renting the Executive Suite with high expectations. The suite included a full kitchen, living room, dining room, and a bedroom with an ensuite jacuzzi tub. While the space itself was roomy and the setting picturesque, our experience was far from what you’d expect at this price point. On Day 2, the kitchen sink sprang a leak, causing water to pool beneath the sink. When we reported the issue, the onsite manager's only solution was to hand us two towels and suggest we use a plastic salad bowl to catch the leaking water. There was no offer to repair the problem, and no attempt to compensate us for the inconvenience. Even more alarming, there was a surge protector sitting in the pooling water under the sink—a serious electrical hazard that we had to manage ourselves. This posed a real danger, especially in a space meant for guests, and should have been addressed immediately by staff or maintenance. To add to our disappointment, the jacuzzi tub was unusable due to mold in the jets and hair visibly stuck in the filter, making it completely unappealing and unsanitary. This was part of a large family gathering, and moving locations wasn’t an option, or we would have left. For a total of $913 for three nights, we expected a safe, clean, and well-maintained space. Unfortunately, what could have been a relaxing stay turned into a frustrating experience. We won’t be returning, and we cannot recommend this property to others.

Loved visiting the Lodge at Blue Lakes! 💙 Only thing missing was gas for the fire pit and the ice machine was broken. Otherwise, it was so peaceful and enjoyable! Fabulous swimming spot!

First of all, we did not stay at this property because the room had issues. There was water on the floor from a leaky refrigerator, when the desk manager was informed and he gave us towels to clean up the water. We have been trying to recoup our monies from ******* and have been given the run around. The place is a dump and I wouldn't advise anyone to stay there for any reason. I WANT A REFUND!!!

Beautiful view of tranquil lake but noisy highway The lakeside rooms have a beautiful view of Upper Blue Lakes. There are porches with wooden chairs and a few tables to sit outside. It would have been perfect if not for the highway noise from Ca 20. No food is provided, but there are microwave, coffeemaker and coffee, Fridge. Its 6 miles to the nearest restaurant.

We have been coming to this property for 25 years. Previous owner kept it clean and very inviting. They had coffee and breakfast on weekends included into the price. People came to relax and enjoy the nature. Since the property has been sold, it changed quite number of the owners. None of them didn't try keep it on the same level it was before. The prices almost doubled, they removed breakfast, they started to charge for everything, for BBQ usage , for gazebo usage, for staying after checkout on the beach for couple hours. Rooms are not clean anymore, if you complaint about something, their current manager Hattie Gettis will suggest you NOT to come anymore if you are not happy. One more thing, as this property on the water, mosquitos are vicious there. They supposed to spray the beach against that, it has been done by older owner regularly, never had any problems. On top of that, they are very fraudulent with your reservations. We reserved this place using one of the 3rd party back in January to make sure we have lake view rooms. We have used that 3rd party before without any issues. On Sep 5th we supposed to be checked in, after driving for 2.5 hrs from SF we were told that they don't have our reservations in their system. Two rooms were sold out to the party they have at that day. We showed them confirmations from 3rd party with paid off the rooms, Hattie Gettis told us that all complaints should go directly to that 3rd party, they don't have our reservations. We called to the 3rd party and they confirmed that reservation has been made and paid off fully back in January, 3 rd party returned our money, however, Lodge told us rudely that if we don't like it, don't come back. The lake is beautiful, the Lodge is awful now

They should hire more professional stuff cause the person who’s working there was sooo rude and unprofessional
