The Lodge on Lake Lure

My husband and I have been coming up here since the early 80s. It has been updated and renovated over time to where it is today. The views are always stunning and the upgrades to the property have made it very spacious and inviting. The rooms and bathrooms are quite large. This trip we stayed in room number 8 with a private balcony. Lower level with some noise above that we have had to expect. I would have liked to have seen another horizontal piece of furniture to place our belongings on. For a short-term stay it was manageable. Disappointed in the quality of the snacks for breakfast. For the price you pay for a room I think you could add $0.25 banana. Additionally if you're a coffee person bring your own in my opinion. We were also charged a dollar each for two bottles of water to take outside. I found that a little off putting. It feels like they're trying to be very conservative with amenities like new cushions on all the furniture outside. Old and worn and dirty. But you come here for the view! Be aware that this area was hit hard by hurricane Helene due to flooding. while the lodge was spared, the surrounding areas and roads are closed or being rebuilt.

Lovely stay at the lodge for a girls’ weekend. We took advantage of an off season special rate and loved every bit of our trip. The restaurant on property was delicious and the service exceptional. The rooms are well appointed with comfy beds and luxurious sheets. The bathroom includes heated floors, huge clawfoot tubs with a beautiful lake view. Mini fridge in the room are an extra nice touch. We will definitely be back during warmer weather.

Fantastic getaway for our 34th anniversary. The room was very nice, and the view of the lake was beautiful. We had dinner in the lodge, and it was amazing. We loved the friendly staff, and the food was excellent.

We spent a weekend at this place with family. The decor is warm and unique, the facilities spacious yet cozy, lovely views and excellent service from the personable staff. And the food is fantastic - must try the pork chop! Highly recommended.

Such an amazing experience and place! The staff was beyond expectations. The amount of attention to detail in all aspects was astounding. The tranquillity & the most comfy beds made for such a relaxing restful evening . Can we talk about the Appalachian Restaurant…I kid you not, one of the most delectable dinners ever! If I were a local, this would be my go to place & if you want to enjoy the call of nature Combined with 5star service you are on for a treat

Our stay at The Lodge on Lake Lure was nothing short of magical. Tucked away in a peaceful, private setting, it felt like our own little slice of paradise. The grounds are stunning—lush, vibrant landscaping filled with blooming flowers made every morning walk feel like a dream. The vibe was so calm and quiet, it was the perfect escape from the chaos of daily life. And let me just say: the beds were heavenly. Out of all the places we’ve stayed during our travels, these were hands-down the most comfortable—like sleeping on a cloud. From the views to the cozy atmosphere to the thoughtful touches throughout the property, everything was spot-on. We left feeling totally refreshed and already talking about when we can come back.

We love the Lodge on Lake Lure! This is the second visit and we can't wait to go again. We love how quaint it is and how nice everyone is! The beds are comfortable and rooms are so clean. One of the highlights for sure is eating at the Appalachia Restaurant.

I have eaten at their Appalachia restaurant, which is the best restaurant in lake lure and a 10 out of 10, but this time I stayed the night at the lodge. Everything from the employees to the accommodations was excellent and would stay at no other place but here in lake lure!
