Near to mt john hiking trail, 1 km to bus stop, shall wait longer for hot shower, good kitchen facilities, highly recommended

Very nice location, good for relaxing, 1 km from town center, but so close to the lake by just crossing the street. I would love to stay longer next time. If you reach late at night, it’s better to contact hotel in advance and ask for map and photos of your room location before. I arrived very late at night from Christchurch (changed transit flight from Auckland). It took me awhile to understand the map, room location and where to park. It was just 1 day after new moon. So, it was very dark. It’s hard for me to figure out the scale of the place and I didn’t see the small cabin at the back from the street.

The accommodation was a little far from the center, but it was nice to have a shuttle bus to the center in the morning because it was too far from walking.

I love the place. Staying here was very comfy, and great. Everything is great, especially the view. Seriously, this is the best stayed I ever experienced.

There are dormitories and private rooms, and both fire and microwave ovens are available in the shared kitchen! You have to go outside the room to use the toilet and shower, and the private room is full if you open two suitcases, but the view is good... As soon as I came out at night, I could see the Milky Way when I looked at the sky. It was convenient because there was a lake right in front.

By the lake, the 6-person room has an independent bathroom, which is very satisfactory. The room is not big. There are 3 bunk beds when you open the door. There are people snoring at night, which affects the quality of sleep. But there's nothing you can do about it. Who can't book a double room? In peak season, Tekapo has to be booked in advance. If it's late, you'll have to suffer.

There is a free pool table, which is very nice. It is about 700 meters away from the center of Queenstown. It is quiet at night. There is a drying room, so you don't have to spend five dollars to use the dryer after washing your clothes. It's good. If you go to Queenstown, I suggest you stay away from the center. There are many disco bars in the center at night, which is very noisy.

The rooms are too small and the size of the mixed quadruple room is too small for a single room! There's not enough space to turn around and pack your luggage. But the kitchen and rest space are okay and quite comfortable.
