Tekapo Village Motel is very close to Lake Tekapo, and the rooms are nice. We only stayed for one day and didn't cook; there are plenty of good restaurants nearby.

I was lucky enough to get a room upgrade to a huge two-bedroom unit with a large kitchen, a spacious living room, and giant windows. It was very comfortable to stay in. It's also within walking distance to the lake and the Church of the Good Shepherd. Plus, there are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby, which is really convenient.

The service was good, and the room rate included three breakfasts, which were served right behind the hotel. In the evening, the bathtub's hand-held shower got stuck and wouldn't drain, which I hope the hotel can check. I'm not sure if the drain itself is clogged.

Love the location near to lake and restaurants. The place is neat and clean but design of room is outdated.
Worth staying for one night.
Tips: book the ground level room as only stairs to level 2 rooms.
