La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lakeland West

The room was filthy, toilet broken, bulbs missing in lights, carpet so stained my wife would not take of her shoes. When we arrived the tv was on and all the lights were on some one had been using the room.

Zero out of 5, this place was the worst. After checking in, dropped the bags in the room to come back at around 11 pm later that evening to find first floor window to the parking area was not locked and the window to our room slid right open. Was asked to be moved to a floor not on the first floor. They put us in room 414 but when we walked in the TV was on, bed messed up and it was clearly already someone’s room, I just don’t think they were currently in there when we entered. Then was finally moved to the 6th floor but woke up to nothing but cigarette smoke. Very bad experience and not a safe hotel.

The employees were not that friendly.

Be careful the GM is taking deposits feom customers without validation or facts. I was accused of smoking in room, when I never did. At checkout I was refused my deposit for those reasons without any documentation or proof

I am really surprised how much I loved this hotel. The design and decor was relaxing and nice. The breakfast is great and you can walk to many places near it for food and items.

Beware. Zero upkeep. Shabby and dirty. Guests complaining about dirty sheets and blankets at checkin; urine smells; room lighting no working; do not stay there.

My wife and I enjoyed our trip to Lakeland. There are plenty of things to do and see in Lakeland. We came to house hunt. We found the home we wanted. We will be back in a month or 2.

Our church came for a woman’s retreat. We enjoyed our time in Lakeland. We played Cards in the evening. The staff were friendly. Rooms were clean.
