Beautiful house surrounded by picturesque scenery and nearby starting foothpaths. Very good and quiet location, few minutes walk to restaurants, pubs and shops. Room which was always clean, was very spacious with an ensuite bathroom and also a sitting area. Breakfast was very good and there was a lot to choose from.

Lovely place to stay within walking distance of Ambleside. Beautiful room with lovely views. Good choices for breakfast. Great base for visiting the lakes.

Crow How guest house was absolutely spotlessly clean and the breakfasts were excellent. The host was very friendly and helpful with info about the area. Car parking was easy with plenty of turning space. Access to the town of Ambleside was ideal being just outside but away from the crowds.

We had 4 nights in the Crow How guest house and when we return to Ambleside we'll be booking again. The location is beautiful, the house is a lovely Victorian design and it's the perfect place to stay. It's just a stones throw from Ambleside and a great location for visiting the Lake District. The superb location is set within some fabulous scenery and delivers a calm and peaceful experience. The staff were all friendly and it's obvious that Jill & Andrew take pride in running a first class guest house. The breakfast options we're plentiful and the food excellent. A big thank you to Jill, Andrew and all the staff at Crow How for a wonderful stay. We look forward to our next visit. Steve & Wendy (Neath)

The location of Crow How has the best of both worlds - very, very quiet set in glorious scenery, yet conveniently just a few minutes' drive (but also walkable) from Ambleside, for restaurants, shops, etc. The house itself is beautiful with a timeless elegance; the bedrooms are appointed to the highest standard with all sorts of thoughtful touches, such as a mini fridge. When we awoke in the morning and looked out of the window, we were rewarded with the most stunning sky, illuminating the surrounding mountains with a gentle orange glow intertwined with the stillness of an early morning mist. Breakfast was superb - top-notch Eggs Royale being one of several alternatives to the usual full English. I would certainly consider staying here again.

Amazing stay, owners and staff so friendly and nothing too much trouble. Rooms so comfortable and very clean. Fab jacuzzi bath, smashing to relax in after a days walking! Breakfast very tasty, so much choice. Thank you all, well definitely be back."

Excellent location just outside Ambleside with easy walk into town along the footpath. Gated gravel area for parking. Easy access to lakeside walks into Grasmere and loughrigg fell. Very good breakfast and the rooms are spacious and well equipped with a loounge for guest use and a garden at the rear. Also has a drying room with access from outside for muddy boots etc. Owners and staff very friendly and helpful I would unreservedly recommend for a stay in the lakes

Once again, an absolutely amazing stay at Crow How (apart from the weather! :) ). Excellent hosts, superb room and breakfasts! Can't fault it! We will be back again, for the 3rd time! [Now I need to add some random words to get up to the minimum of 200 characters! :) ]

Our 5th visit to Crow How. As fabulous as ever. Stayed in room 7 this time, lovely and comfy with amazing views of the fells plus a bath with lights in it which was lovely. Fantastic big breakfasts and terrific friendly staff again. Such a great place to stay and only 10 mins walk into Ambleside
