Thoroughly enjoyed a lovely stay at The Ambleside Inn Ambleside. Excellent service from front of house staff Ryan and Amelia providing excellent customer service. Comfortable clean room & great food. Can highly recommend and look forward to returning Soon Thank you.

The room was tired, only one bedside table, scuffed furniture and skirting boards, carpet not fitted properly - just generally not great finish or attention to detail. Breakfast was one of the worst I’ve ever had. Low quality ingredients. Location is great, service was great. But for the price charged, I would not return, nor recommend it.

Hotel is in an excellent location. I’ve stayed here numerous times. Food is excellent, the staff are very accommodating. The room it self was ok… Clean & tidy can’t fault it really.. I’d definitely be back.

Great pub and excellent food. Had a good bottle of Provence Rose to drink. Fish and chips were very good. Lovely delicate batter with perfectly cooked fish. The special pork ribs were excellent too. Good service tonight from Ryan and his colleagues

Great hotel, very central location. Staff were lovely and very professional. Rooms were spotless. Breakfast was included and well worth it. Choice of cereals/juice/toast/fruit/yogurts to start then you could order from the breakfast menu which was excellent. We opted to have tea/supper in the bar area which was very busy. We booked two rooms 207/208 and both parties could hear what sounded like floorboards creaking above us (to be told by staff the next morning that there was no rooms directly above us) this was a little spooky

beautiful hotel nestled in the rolling mountains of The Lake District. very helpful staff. the rooms were very clean when i arrived i was allocated a room even though i arrived before check-in approx 5 before . i was pleased with that . the breakfast consisted i cereal and a hot meal of your voice i even ordered eggs benedict unlimited coffee tea and juices . only downside i had a shower at 4 pm and halfway through the water went off ! apart from that it was a very pleasant stay

A rainy afternoon, we wanted a wholesome independent cosy pub lunch. We opted for the Ambleside homemade burger and thought the £19 price tag for a 'patty' was over priced. The staff asked our honest feedback, which we politely shared our opinion. He later returned to the table to say he'd passed the feedback and there was nothing he could do. We really did not expect anything more. Of our whole week away, this was a disappoin**ent and wish we'd opted for an independent café instead.

Thank you for a memorable stay, we relaxed and unwinded and felt so far removed from busy London, the Ambleside Inn is cozy and welcoming and we will definitely back. A few things could be improved, though: There was spiderweb in our bedroom, the bed was slightly too short for me (I am 1.86m tall) and the Ambleside Inn Burger was overcooked (bread slightly burned). All in all we were pleased, however, especially with the responsiveness of staff as our safe was blocked on the last day which we thankfully noticed while packing the night before our departure. A member of staff was able to open it for us.

From moment we checked into hotel , staff was so welcoming , polite and couldn’t do enough to help us even on a very busy bank holiday weekend . Great venue and hotel was spotless and clean . Definitely visit again
