Best Western Lamphey Court Hotel

The hotel could do with an update. My room was basic but clean. The water system took ages to stop making a noise after the room next door used it. There was also a lot of doors banging .

Nice location. Room ok, very basic . Got told by reception that we had tv on too loud but it was in an alcove . In my opinion it should be moved to wall in front of bed…room 3 Pool nice, hot tub warm, but only steam room open . Sauna and steam rooms alternate apparently. Not good if you are only on a 1 night break.

We stayed here for 2 nights as a treat for my friends 60th and specifically chose it for the spa. We knew that the sauna and steam rooms were open on alternate days but only the sauna was open on 2 consecutive days meaning we never got to use the steam room which I wanted to use as I have a lung condition and steam rooms really help with it. The chemicals in the jacuzzi were so strong that we had to get out after 5 minutes as our eyes were stinging. There was no costume spinner in the ladies changing room yet there was one in the gents. They provide shampoo in the showers but no conditioner so our hair ended up like straw! I was surprised to hear that they have paying members for the spa, personally I would want a discount if I was paying a membership! We spent over £100 on an evening meal of steak and it was detailed as coming with mushrooms, chips, onion rings and tomato, I requested no tomato, when it came out the waitress said “no to tomato”, yet the kitchen staff didn’t think that tomato in the salad counted!! The flush on the toilet in our room took over 10 minutes to refill, which is totally unacceptable!

I think this hotel is good but it could be so much better! The location and the building is stunning but it needs some TLC. It’s clean but our mattress way too soft (and old) and meant we both felt like we would roll out! Dated furniture and a musty communal area. The pool was perfect for my 5 year old but I would not have felt the same being at a spa weekend. All the staff were SO friendly but missing a sparkle to them which usually speaks volumes of the employer. However I would go back, spacious family room and the location alone, and family friendly! I’d love to see this hotel being bought up to standard as it would be a truly amazing experience

A few days exploring Pembrokeshire, and this hotel was a great location to explore many historical features, with a short run to Pembroke city and Tenby. Lovely hotel building and very good staff.

What a delightful find. Excellent facilities and Staff the Leisure Facilities were first class and restaurant and breakfast excellent. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We have stayed here 4 times and it never disappoints, full of character. We were lucky to be upgraded, and the room was lovely with beautiful views across the countryside. we booked treatments in the spa which was a nice treat too

The hotel is a wonderful piece of your history and heritage, on arrival there was an excellent service on which we found out we had been upgraded to the superior room due to our wonderful daughters informing the hotel that it was your anniversary.We were thrilled,however on entry of the room it was certainly not in your opinion a superior the room needed a good lick of paint and there was rust marks all in the bottom of the bath, in fairness the room was fairly clean but by far not spotless!! We decided to use the spa soon after unpacking,on arrival to the spa reception the lady who was on duty also very helpful and we were impressed, the changing rooms which were of good quality too,the low music and the atmosphere was so relaxed we thought we were in for a lovely few hours and couldn't wait to use the facilities, right this is really where the let down begins the hot tub was leakwarm and the jets were also very worn and rusty there was also rust in the bottom of the tub but what was worst was the smell of drains coming from this area!!! Skip the sauna and steam rooms which are exactly like all the other reviews if the one is working the other isn't!!! We then went to use the main pool which was uncomfortably cold and that's being generous!! We were there less than 10 minutes totally unacceptable, this is most definitely letting the hotel down time and time again!! The visitors to the gym seems very popular with members however, right negative comments over although very honest and truthful.The food was absolutely spot on breakfast excellent and the meals we had on the Friday night was absolutely fantastic!! Every member of staff was professional and friendly, you really need to sort out the spa it is honestly letting you down xx

Food poor and service below expectations. Various problems within the bedroom which had to be attended to e.g. no hot water Dogs not welcomed just put up with but they still charge £10 a night. Spa tired and cold first thing in the morning. Tennis courts have seen better days. Nice view if in the right room ours over looked a car park. Quiet area. Over priced for what is offered especially food and drink.
