Bon Accord Farm Cottages

We had a lovely stay at Bon Accord Farm. We only stayed for one night on or way around the Garden Route but could have easily stayed longer as Montague is a nice town close to the farm and there is plenty to do in the area. A lovely relaxing place to stay.

Excellent accommodation, which is well priced and well equipped. We will definitely use again in the future. We can recommend without any doubt. Very quiet and peaceful location. Very good view and the owners are very host full.

Away from the city life, very peaceful and quiet with amazing scenery. We travelled in the middle of winter and made full use of the fireplace to keep warm, we will definitely be returning in the summer.

This is by far the best self-catering accommodation I've ever seen! Every need had been anticipated and provided for and the cottage was beautifully decorated, warm and comfortable. We stayed in Cottage #2 and my son loved his en-suite bathroom! The kitchen is equipped with everything (and more) you could want or need and the full DSTV bouquet saw us watching a LOT of World Cup Rugby, so thanks for THAT!! The photos of the views online do NOT do them justice at all and the braai on the patio outside was well used. Unfortunately we had awful, rainy weather the weekend we stayed, but it was still a lovely trip and we're planning to go back to explore the farm (we could walk anywhere we'd wanted, but it was raining too much) and the hiking trails nearby. We were provided with complimentary muscadel for which the region is known. A lovely, very welcome touch upon our arrival on a cold day! The main bathroom has an electric heater over the bath, so soaking in the tub on a cold night is just so luxe! It was really nice! The water pressure is fantastic and there was plenty of hot water for all of us to bath / shower. We made good use of the DISHWASHER, which prevented us from spending precious relaxation time doing dishes. We would have made use of the washing machine too, had the weather been good for drying our clothes. More than enough washing liquid, dishwasher tablets and cleaning materials were supplied.

This is one of the most perfect farm cottages I have stayed in. One really only has to take you own food and wine. The cottage (house) was clean and everything in its place; a highly recommended place to stay 5minutes drive outside of Montagu.

Great place to stay. Accomodation was five star and everything you require is there. Very nice and quite. Host was great and we receive clear instructions about everything. Nice place to visit if you want to get away from the daily rush.

This is our fourth time at the Bon Accord Farm Cottages and each time seems better. The cottages are isolated on the top of a ridge overlooking the farm and the valley surrounded by mountains. The cottages are a short drive away from Montagu - an attractive town with dried fruit/nuts establishments and wineries. Not too far away is the famous tractor ride up a mountain. Included in the stay is the possibly of visiting a local club that has restaurant/pool and hot pool facilities. To top all this off, Elsje, the hostess is incredibly friendly and helpful. This is definitely a place to return to.

Amazing stay. Beautiful views. Very private. Great amenities around. Ideal for couples, or just if you need a great space to work on project. Very big patio to spend time and do braai. I also like the fire place in the living room.
