Bamboo Cottage Langkawi

Cosy hotel with an excellent and refreshing pool. Nice and tranquil backdrop to the hotel with a ‘mountain’ side and some fields. Good place for travellers looking for a hotel with a relaxed atmosphere. It is possible to walk to the main area of Pantai Cenang, but otherwise, you can always catch a small and cheap ride with Grab. Walls in the rooms are a bit thin.

Hallo, My husband and I discovered this authentic rustic spot, nestled nearby the nature but in the same time close to the restaurants and the sea. We really had an enjoyable, comfortable and relaxing stay in this exceptional setting for 2 weeks. Very peaceful and quiet location with the upper roof space for the morning exercise and gorgeous pool accomplished with the small waterfall in its surrounding. The outside social zone consist of the small kitchen corner and the sitting area where you can eat and meet interesting people :-) Rooms are pretty basic but that place offered us exactly what we needed. We stayed at Bamboo Cottage as a group of 5 in one of the villas. We were very pleasantly surprised at how lovely the villa and the overall facilities were for the price. The open kitchen in the villa and in the communal space, paired with the well stocked fridge that you can help yourself to and pay at the end, meant we could cook breakfast together for very cheap and enjoy it in a homly environment. The rooms were very clean, and they had provided shampoo and body wash which was a nice touch. The cottage itself is located close to Cenang beach and so was an easy walk there and back. The pool was really refreshing and is a self service pool. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend people to stay here. NOTE: the reason I didnt given full marks was that it could maybe do with a little refresh as some things were quite tired. Like the curtains, bed linens etc.

Pros: - clean - next to the nature - nice swimming pool - smooth check-in - room comes with air conditioner and ceiling fan Cons: - very saggy and thin mattress (back pain!) - noisy corridor in front of the room - very basic furniture in the room - gloomy room with no view - a bit overpriced for what you get

nice and quiet, and it is close to the action , it a short distance to Cenang beach and shopping/ food street. Celia the manager arranged a scooter for us for 3 days and it was fun and cruised the island up and down. The rooms were nice and spacious with no TV but we never us e a tv in hotels anyway. The wifi worked ok in the room as well as in the common area. The beds were hard and kind of sagged and worn that’s why the 4 star rating. In the common area you can just grab a beer, food or whatever and mark it on a sheet and at checkout time she will let you know what you owe. Perfect system. You even do laundry there it costs 1 ringgit for a deter pillow, so super cheap but it is a self serve system. We truly loved it there.

Perfect place to feel the nature vibes but close enough to restaurants n bars. The architecture of the cottage is one of a kind n Salt water swimming pool is just amazing. Host is super friendly n helpful
