Red Roof Inn Lansing East - MSU

Very hospitable and friendly.

*Full Disclosure* we never made it there, but we couldn't write a review without checking those off. However something weird was going on. We submitted for a cancellation the day off as we were stuck in Canada. We sent in an appeal to cancel in hopes to get some money back. Trip.com called us and said the hotel won't consider it as we apparently already "checked in" which was physically impossible. I called them myself and told them I'm not there and noone else knows about the reservation, so it's impossible. The lady said there's nothing she can do, and that I'd have to call back the next day and speak to the manager. The only other people who had my booking information, and knew we were requesting to cancel and would not be there, was the hotel. Whoever checked in would have needed that information. As well they would have been unable to provide identification unless they coincidentally had the same name as me. You'd think if you told a hotel someone potentially checked in with false ID they'd be concerned, and not say "call back after they've already stayed a night". Draw your own concusions from what kind of establishment this is.

Good value for the money spent

Dingy hotel! Would never stay again! Mold in windows from leaking. Sheets and blankets had stains the room not cleaned well at all. Nothing like the pictures shown.

I stayed in room 138 It was exceptionally clean didn't have no problems with the TVs the refrigerator was perfect the microwave was spotless couldn't ask for anything else and a great price I asked him for a bar of soap and they literally had so many bring it to me I was going to walk and get it the coffee is great no matter when you go to get it they always have coffee in the lobby

I’ve been here with my family for a while and it’s been the best experience all over I love the room it’s comfy and clean the front desk is amazing if your in town for anything I would definitely recommend staying here with family or on business or just solo

This is a very nice affordable hotel! Outstanding customer service! Everyone is very nice and kind! Rooms are very clean! I recommend Red Roof in to anyone looking for a nice affordable stay! Employees where very welcoming to my family!!!!

This is literally the most understanding hotel I’ve ever been in I love the people here Amy the manager is the best I just love her she’s understanding and really knows how to make someone feel like they are welcomed it’s been a hard time for me lately and she goes above and beyond every time !!!
