Sun Hall Hotel

While we were treated well by several of the restaurant staff, including Nasia, Chris, and others—we cannot recommend the Sun Hall Hotel for anyone desiring to hold a conference in downtown Larnaca. This is mostly due to the unprofessional treatment we received from the management of the hotel. Sadly, I must write a disappointing review of the Sun Hall Hotel after organizing our third annual conference that was held there in November 2025. During the previous two conferences, there were a couple of occasions when the general manager would seek to modify our agreement for the benefit of accommodating other groups or guests. This caused pressure on us, and we had to work through the difficulties. However, this year was "over the top" with regards to the general manager deciding to prioritize another client that wanted to begin a conference on the final day that our conference had already booked for the hotel rooms and conference room. He strongly pressured us, two months after we made our agreement, to move our dates earlier, so he could accommodate the next group. I agreed to change our program on the last day, so that they could set up the conference room that day (Saturday) and begin that afternoon, according to the general manager's request that they would have 6 hours to set up and begin at 3:00 pm. He never communicated to me that our group of 60 people could not stay the last night (Friday) at the hotel. He modified the Pro-forma Invoice without any explanation of the change of dates for the rooms. I clearly wrote to him that our program would continue through and conclude on Friday night, thinking that we would finish our conference that night and depart the hotel in the morning. When we began to finalize the reservations for our group, the general manager finally informed me that there would not be any hotel rooms available for our group on Friday night after we finished our conference. Most of our attendees had already made their flight arrangements since it was only a few days before the week that the conference would begin. It was a terrible fiasco and totally stressful. The general manager scrambled to find another hotel that would accept our group (20 rooms), and that Friday night, we had to end our program early at dinner time and then transfer them by bus to the other hotel. The general manager had to make these arrangements, but it was not our optimal way to conclude our conference. During the dinner on Friday night, the general manager sent his barman to pressure us to move all of our things out of the conference room that night, so that the next group could come in and set up, even though they were not beginning their conference until the afternoon of the next day (Saturday). We felt that our group was slighted and treated as less important. We were also treated negatively by the reservation person in various ways. Her first response to many of our requests was "No!" We have decided as a group that we will not be returning to

Unfortunately this Hotel and its management are so unprofessional, we reserved many rooms for a conference 4 or 5 months ago but because they want to make more money , they overbooked our rooms on the our last day to someone else and made all move to another, also they forced us to move our sound equipment in the same day . we asked for the manger by he never showed up and he only sent his bouncer

What a great hotel. Fantastic location, the beach is across the road, it’s very close to lots of restaurants, but is at the very end of the road so is not in the thick of everything. As for the staff, well they make the hotel as good as it is. From the reception staff to the cleaners, all go out of their way to make your stay wonderful. Special mention goes to youngsters Penny, Nicol and Constantino for their service. Of course the big guns, Nasia and Christos at breakfast (and everywhere else that they are needed), and Thanasi in the bar, are so good at their jobs they make you feel like you are part of the family. Have stayed here before and will definitely return - it’s a home from home for us. Can’t wait to go back.

A very well placed hotel with an amazing view on a little marina and the gulf of Larnaca. The room had a long terrace and a modern design, very clean and supplied with coffe capsules and bottles of water daily. A bottle of wine and a fruit plate at arrival. Coffee machine in the room made excellent espresso. The breakfast very rich in choices and a nice and clean fitness center and spa. Very close to the city center.
