Every time I go to Montevideo I stay at Hotel Europa. Friendly staff, very clean and convenient location.

We chose this as the location was quite centric and convenient for our purpose, and the hotel staff was friendly with a complimentary breakfast, but apart from those points the hotel is in a horrific condition. Our room (2nd floor) was facing the main street was INCREDIBLY noisy due to all day long traffic, separated by just a think window. The hotel corridor lighting has a poor sensor so it's always dark. The amenities placed in the room is under the minimum, with only over-used thin towels and just 2 soap bars, no shampoo or whatsoever. For the price we paid, there were plenty other options that we could've gone (and we will for our next trips to Montevideo).

Localização excelente, café da manhã otimo. Repõem a todo momento. Tamanho do quarto bom. O que deixa a desejar é a limpeza do banheiro, nitidamente feita pra quem não presta atenção nos detalhes. Sujeiras e bolor acumulado nos cantos.

2 star hotel. There is no shower stall in the bathroom, meaning that after showering, the entire bathroom is wet.

Criticism should not be used for verbal aggression but rather for improving the establishment. In my case, we bought the package through CVC and it wasn't exactly what we bought. The hot shower valve is almost impossible to close because it is so hot, it burns your fingers, the entrance counter is really full of alfajors, wines, biscuits and the like, there is no space to sign the entrance forms. The bathroom has a glass flap that gets the whole thing wet, it's dangerous to even slip, the towels are very thin from using them so much. The breakfast is good.
