We rented a Casita with Jacuzzi in rooftop. I had been here about 9 years ago, and you can tell the maintenance has been 0 since then. Broken fridge, stove, oven, dish washer, hot tub, broken glass in balcony (serious danger for toddler), kitchen leaking gas... its a long list, just beware to keep your expectations close to reality. Also, the food needs an urgent revision- we continuously ranked food a 2/5. I am sure they can fix this, however, it was not a good experience, and speaking to other guests they all agreed. Regarding the hotel and beach: They remain to be the most AMAZING place, relaxing, and beautiful location, almost unbeatable. Gardens are beautiful. Best pool to relax.The staff in general was awesome, the great service of Jose made a difference in our stay. They do need to fix the casitas if they want to keep the "small luxury hotels" seal and Conde Nast Recomendation.

Très bel hôtel bien situé sur une belle plage. Belles chambres ou suites bien entretenues. Le seul bémol , de taille est que le service est digne d’un établissement deux étoiles . Attente systématique aux restaurants et réclamations à ce sujet à chaque repas. Le serveur a qui vous vous êtes adressé regarde autour qui pourrait effectuer ce que vous avez demandé.

L’endroit est un paradis, et rien que pour le site je mets 5/5. Cependant, comme c’est un ensemble hôtel et villas privées il y a des enfants et nous sommes tombés sur des enfants rois. Nous aurions apprécié un restaurant « adults only », comme cela existe sur une des piscines. Voire un coin apéro ! Autre énorme point négatif : la lenteur du service. L’escalope de poulet avec légumes grillés: montre en main entre 1heure et 1h20 d attente. A part ça c’est en effet sublime et ils sont très accueillants.

The rooms were impeccably clean, spacious, and offered breathtaking views. The attention to detail in every aspect of the hotel’s design and service was remarkable.
The culinary experience was a highlight; each meal was a delectable journey through flavors, expertly prepared by talented chefs. The variety and quality of the dishes were superb.

Un très bel hôtel résidence, intime, calme et raffiné. Le cadre est exceptionnel, la plage magnifique, et les services offerts sont de qualité. Le restaurant de la plage est un lieu merveilleux. En revanche, le restaurant "le bistro" offre une cuisine de qualité très moyenne pour un prix élevé.

At one level Sublime Samana has it all. Set on a lovely beach, in Instagram ready grounds. Huge suite with well equipped kitchen and living area bigger than at home. Nice big balcony to sit out on a showery afternoon. Although fully booked the hotel was quiet with never any problem getting a table in the restaurants. That’s because many of the suites are actually residential units. It didn’t merit five stars because service wasn’t quite up to scratch. We emailed in advance to ask about pick up from the bus station but had no reply. We had to ask several times to get some shower gel in our room. I’m sure some of this was because no-one spoke (or understood) much English. I don’t expect them to speak English in the supermarket in the town but it’s not unreasonable to expect better in a high end hotel. Overall, needs more charm and customer care to match its undoubted attractiveness.
