This hotel is really suitable for self-driving travel! This is my third trip to Tibet alone. I actually have no clear travel plan. I just want to find a hotel in Lhasa where I can sleep comfortably. I have stayed at their Potala Palace View Hotel before, and this time I want to try their self-driving hotel to prepare for future self-driving trips. What attracted me the most was the breakfast service in this hotel, which was served until 1pm, which was the main reason why I chose them. Because when I came to Lhasa this time, I just wanted to celebrate the New Year here alone and enjoy a leisurely life. Choosing a good hotel is so important. I hope that I can wake up naturally every day and have delicious food waiting for me when I wake up. I made up my mind to stay for five nights, and it turned out that my choice was right. As soon as I entered the room, the waiter told me that I could drink as much as I wanted from the drinks in the refrigerator. If there was not enough, they would add more for free. I basically slept until noon before having breakfast, then went back to the room to tidy up, and then went to the old town to hang out in the sun. It was so pleasant! What surprised me even more was that the hotel also sent fruits, snacks and dried fruit platters in the evening, which was so thoughtful! The environment of the hotel is also very good. I won't go into details about the other details one by one. All in all, I am very satisfied with this stay!

It's especially good. It's very cheap in the off-season. Because I was afraid of the cold, I called the front desk in advance to help turn on the air conditioning and warm the room. It was very comfortable on my first night in Lhasa. Because I was going out with a group, I booked accommodation when I came back from sightseeing. Then I could store my luggage. It was really good. I have been staying in Tibet Hotels in the past few years. This is my first time staying in the VIP Building. The environment is very good for Lhasa. The hotel facilities and room facilities are good. I have two complaints. One is that the breakfast is really unpalatable. There are not many varieties, fried. I can't even describe the vegetarian dishes. I don't know if the porridge is made from rice or from leftover dry rice. The second thing is hygiene. We stayed at the Shangri-la after a week of being in Tibet. It was a nice change from the more Chinese style hotels we had stayed in and was ideal for the night before our flight out. The rooms are great and we booked one with a bath. The shower was very powerful and hot. The breakfast buffet was, by Chinese standards, decent for western options and the evening buffer was good for approx 200rmb/person if you're in need of more western options. The big plus for me was the gym. Decent by most hotel standards and had a good mix of resistance machines, cardio and free weights (mainly dumbbells of up to 20kg plus a pair of 27.5kg). The only thing missing from the gym really is a squat rack but otherwise very good. Would stay again.
