Coral Key Inn

This is an old mom-and-pop style place. It smelled, especially in the bathroom where the toilet ran off and on (silent flush). The shower was probably clean but the tiles are old and stained. The bathroom had no counter space. We were only there for overnight. Although there was a coffee pot, there was no coffee. We even asked in the office where it was suggested we go to Publix to purchase coffee. A nearby restaurant waiter gave us a small tub of ground coffee. Beds were comfortable. A sign with several punctuation/grammatical errors announced that any make-up on towels or bed sheets or pillow cases would incur a set charge. We loved the location. We could see the ocean from the front of the hotel and it was an easy walk to the pier where restaurants were plenty. There were two nice pools. Would we stay here again? No.

The unit was very quiet. We were never woken up in the middle of the night. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. The couch, not so much. Great shower. Excellent location. Easy walk across the street to beach and very walkable downtown for dining. Close to FLL airport.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have liked to have stayed longer. The facility is old but has been upgraded and is nice, clean, and pretty. We met other guests who stay at this facility year after year. The location is directly across the street from a beach access park and walkway, a couple of blocks from a Publix supermarket, and within walking distance of several restaurants

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Coral Key Inn. We had a one bedroom apartment that was very spacious. The large bedroom had a king bed and a very large walk-in closet. They have 2 pools. The one which faces Del Mar and has the largest pool patio was very cold, while the one that faces Ocean Blvd. was perfect. The building and palm trees are lit up beautifully at night. It is only steps to a beach portage entry directly across the street. Many of the units have an ocean view through a park directly across the street on Del Mar. Groceries are just a few blocks away at the Publix as are all the bars and restaurants downtown. The air conditioner in the kitchen had some drainage issues and needed to be shut off but the one in the bedroom worked fine. They were unable to get the one in the kitchen fixed during our brief stay but it was not a problem as the local temperatures were fairly moderate in January and the larger one in the bedroom offered some cooling capability to the rest of the apartment. The hotel manger, Sevim, was very personable and helpful. She is very customer focused. She invited us to store our luggage in her office until we were able to check-in. We are able to check-in about 2.5 hours before the 3:00 normal check-in.

The dead cockroaches, complained and they didn't clean them up.

Our trip started in Hollywood Beach with my teenage daughter, and we felt so unsafe there our first night in Florida that we decided to leave and go somewhere else even though it was non-refundable. We came across Coral Key online during our search and due to our negative experience with the previous place, we drove to Coral Key first before booking to ensure it was decent. Upon pulling up, we immediately felt better. It looked nice and was definitely in a safer area! We decided to book it and are so glad we did! The property and room was clean, quiet, and close to the beach. When I say close, I mean literally just steps away. The AC unit was so quiet we couldn’t even tell it was on. They offer free parking which was a plus. They have a nice pool out front. The unit had a full kitchen. If we ever travel back to the area, we would stay here again in a heartbeat! I wouldn’t even look anywhere else!
