Don’t believe the negative reviews!! This place is fantastic. Swift check in and golf buggy ride to our honeymoon villa. We booked this room type as it is spacious, has king bed, plenty of wardrobe space, an amazing view of sea and Poseidon Temple. Room 401 - very close to main building for breakfast and restaurants. We ate in the rooftop a la carte which was fabulous. Staff very attentive and knowledgeable about the local Greek wines. I was worried about staying here as I had read a couple of negative reviews and also wondered if the room would be renovated. We are not disappointed as it is beautiful. The interior is stylish and contemporary and the exterior spotlessly clean with manicured gardens and plenty of space to relax. The pool loungers are thick comfy loungers and well spaced out so you’re not on top of each other. Pool has lifeguards and staff setting up parasols or getting drinks. Very breezy but in 36 degrees you need it. Breakfast buffet has everything you could think of or want. Numerous tureens with hot foods outside, separate omelette area with chef preparing whatever you fancy. Amazing views of the sea with private catamarans and yachts moored up. Seriously we are picky customers but found it hard to find fault. Ate lunch at the pool restaurant and it’s lovely. Fresh seafood and salads with cold rose wine - just perfect. Short walk to private beach with bar and restaurant. It was very windy but a lovely spot. Restaurant closed for 2 days due to wind but managed to eat there on our last day and it’s lovely. We took a taxi up to the temple for €25 and he waited half hour for us. Only negative - Just a noisy family in the next villa letting their kids scream outside after midnight for half hour is not good but I suppose they’re excited. We would definitely return for a relaxing break with excellent food and drinks. The staff are lovely and helpful and care that you have a lovely stay.

For $700+ US dollars a night, they can sure do A LOT better !!! The pictures and website look good but when you arrive BE WARNED !!! Quality control and maintaining a quality and safe & clean hotel for their guests are lacking in many areas that management should have addressed. It seems that the Hotel management and staff do not fully care. Let me explain. Here are several areas of concern. # 1 - Dirty and Soiled Bedding of our Comforters, Sheets and Pillow cases. We had a 2-room with a balcony view. Upon check in…BOTH of our Bedding was filthy and dirty with brown, red and rust colors on white sheets. Looks like old fecal matter and perhaps blood? It had obviously been there for a while and so this would tell me that they don’t do proper and thorough cleaning for new guests arriving. (images attached). This is very disturbing on so many levels. # 2 - Dirty Nasty Rusted Ice Buckets and Tongs. We ordered a bucket of Ice to the room. It was served in a Rusty, Nasty, and Dirty metal ice bin. Even the Lid was nasty also. Just look at the completely rusted screw. This did not happen overnight. This is months and possibly years in the making that will make you sick. (images attached) # 3 The Swimming Pool and Jacuzzi Plaster is Falling Apart. It’s very dangerous as you could get cut or hurt!! Both the Pool and Jacuzzi were VERY Disappointing. A supposed High-end hotel should never have had this kind of destroyed amenities. Just look at all the broken plaster, ½ patched holes, and all the dangers they impose for guests wishing to use the jacuzzi. The Brown and rusted parts are not just overnight or yesterday. This is many months, possibly years in the making and consistently neglected by both management and staff. Very Poor to say the least☹ Remember, you are at their resort in the middle of nowhere with all outside shops about 20+ minutes away with a car. You are at their mercy....Dinner Buffett was about $55 Dollars and if you wanted water, it's Bottle service at about $5 per bottle. A breakfast buffet was included and ok. Most of the staff were pleasant but all the dirty, broken, and sub-par issues is why I would Never return again.

This was an out of this world experience. My husband and I were looking for a quiet place to relax and Grecotel was recommended by friends. We live in a busy city of Cairo and it only takes 2 hours by plane to Athens and 40 min cab ride from the airport to get to Cape Sounion. I am not a fan of resorts in general but this one is different. Secluded, quiet, small private beach, bungalows with a private pool, fantastic food and a very friendly and helpful stuff. It’s a perfect place if you want to have a relaxing time. The Poseidon temple is right in front of you and with the sea around you have a feeling of being on an island even though you’re really just a short ride from the city. Highly recommended!

The location is nice and beautiful, albeit far away from everything and the fine even have a shop for small items . The buffet is very nice . The room is very bad and by no means considered a 5 star hotel room. Not even 4. The furniture is old and Brocken , the telephone id not working, the safe bid is not working, and there s no information on how to contact the reception. The staff is friendly but useless, they give a lot of lip service to nothing.

Excellent hotel, great service, excellent breakfast, especially the waiter Christos, who gave great service for several days The pool and the beach are excellent, pampering rooms, calm and peaceful Thank you very much for a great hospitality and service, we will be back next year

Fabulous holiday with 5 of us in two bungalows. Staff, whatever their roll, were so friendly and couldn't do enough. Christos was fab at breakfast and our lady who brought us little chocolate treats and even escorted us dinner (sorry not sure of your name) but thank you so much. The only thing that could be improved is perhaps having a hospitality room (like most hotels) for guests to use on checking out day, to shower and change before the flight home. Other than that.........highly recommend.

We had a lovely time last week at Cape Sounio. Nice facilitiy with very good food and a particularly outstanding service staff. The incarnation of a waiter as he stands in the books when it comes to kindness, awareness, speed, etc. was Christos. He gave us a good time every breakfeast and dinner. Thank you! Constantinos and Elisa at the kids club are amazing. Yes the hotel is nice but the kids club is first class, they did rock climbing, pizza making, nature walks, craft making. I cannot recommend them highly enough my twin 6 year old boys had the best time!!! The flexible hours and the free kids lunch was definitely a plus. Great hotel for a family holiday.
