We discovered the village of Laxe by accident while driving the coast of Spain in June 2022 after completing the Camino de Santiago. We intended to have a one-night stop, but it was so welcoming and relaxing that we stayed for a week. The manager/concierge Jesus (”Suso”) booked us into a second-story room with views of the beach, town and harbor. The room was spacious, with hardwood floors and a spacious marble bathroom. The breakfast buffet included fresh-baked pastries and bread, along with plenty of other good food options. Outside the door of the hotel is a lovely walking path along the beach and town. Suso provided us with above and beyond the call of duty information about outdoor adventures, historical and archaeological sites, and dining. We hope we will return to Spain one day, and certainly will book in at Hotel Playa de Laxe. Special thanks to Suso and staff for turning an overnight stay into a relaxing and amazing week.
