Sophisticated elegant French cooking. Served with style on beautiful napery. We are on the terrace. One of our best meals in France. The chef is excellent. Entree, mains, dessert all superb. Accompanied meal with a excellent Provençal rose.

We were walking the Chemin de Stevenson and had booked to stay here for one night half board. Having walked all day I was tired. The room was not ready, the bar area looked dirty, the water was stone cold, the owner had to spend some significant time locating towels for us, the WiFi did not work, the TV did not work, the bedding was 2 sheets and a very small stained duvet that did not have a cover and did not stretch across the double bed. The food was bad - choice of starter and mains or mains and dessert (the main course was a square piece of mashed potatoes with the smallest amount of mince underneath, a salad next to it). The staff who worked for the proprietor gave the impression that they didn't care. When we left there was no sign of anyone to hand the keys to and pay for our carafe of wine. (We had consumed 2 carafes of wine and I had assumed that one was included in the cost of the meal.). So we left 2.50€ for the second which was all the change I had. I was aware that that might have been slightly less than the cost of a carafe of wine, but I felt that due to the cold water problem it was the least they could offer me. No-one turned up in reception while I was doing this and other guests were waiting. Later on that morning I received a phonemail from the hotel. I still don't understand how they got hold of my telephone number. Whoever it was was furious. He raged down the phone at length about the fact that I had not paid for the 2 carafes of wine (14€) and had inundated the mattress rendering the room unusable and I should pay for a new mattress. He suggested that I had done it because of the lack of hot water. It was completely untrue. We had not had any water anywhere near the bed. I explained that I had thought wine was included with the meal and I offered to pay for the cost of the wine by bank transfer (and subsequently did) but he was still furious. He raged at me at great length and in the end I had to cut the call. My advice: stay anywhere else but here. It is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

Chambre sans clé (on nous a donné un pass qui ouvrait toutes les chambres),WC sans couvercle, miroir SDB cassé, TV sans télécommande, pour seule décoration de la chambre des clous au mur (ou sont passés les tableaux?) salle à manger horrible, dîner simpliste et insuffisant (certains menus enfants sont plus copieux). Et pour couronner le tout, le propriétaire a augmenté le prix de notre 1/2 pension 5 jours avant notre arrivée. Le propriétaire profite de la situation géographique de son hôtel et est de mauvaise foi et arnaqueur. A éviter à tout prix.

Visiblement l’hôtel et le restaurant ont été repris par des personnes sûrement de bonne volonté mais qui ne connaissent pas le métier. Hôtel glauque, chambre moyennement propre, repas catastrophique en demi-pension avec entrée plat ou plat dessert avec ce jour la comme entrée une salade de tomate avec un demi œuf et un pilon de poulet accompagné de spaghettis… Rapport qualité prix nul A éviter à tout prix même si effectivement c’est sur le chemin de Stevenson.
